HR practitioner appointments

Boehringer Ingelheim appoints Chien Ping ThamChien Ping Tham has joined Boehringer Ingelheim this September as head of talent & performance management, learning & organisation development, regional operating unit SEASK. In his new role, he will lead and drive the people and organisation development agenda for the SEA and South Korea region.

He is responsible for translating corporate performance management, talent management, learning & development, and organisation development strategies into programmes, based on the overall region and specific country needs. Most recently, Tham worked at Willis Towers Watson as the Asia regional head for L&D. His new role is based in Singapore.

Christy Cheung joins the HR team at Eu Yan Sang InternationalChristy Cheung took up her new role as senior manager, corporate human resources in August. She holds a degree in human resources management from Northumbria University and has 11 years of experience working in the HR industry. She has worked in both Singapore and Hong Kong and has covered other areas in the region, including China and Taiwan. Her new role will be based in Singapore.

Partners Group welcomes Tassie Ng to the HR teamTassie Ng joined Partners Group as a recruiter in September. In her new role, she is responsible for the recruitment activities of the company's APAC offices. Ng has been working in the recruitment industry since 2009, after making the switch from the banking and financial sector. Her previous experience in the FSI industry provides her with an edge when it comes to understanding the needs of both candidates and employers. She is based in Singapore.

Jun Chen Lim joins the talent acquisition team at Standard CharteredJun Chen Lim started his position in talent acquisition, corporate & institutional banking at Standard Chartered in September. He is responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies.

Working closely with the business, across advisory and executional fronts, he helps to build a sustainable talent pipeline and delivers on key hiring requisitions across the corporate and institutional banking division. Lim has three years of experience in the HR industry and holds a degree in corporate communications and organisational behaviour & human resources. He is based in Singapore.

Schneider Electric promotes Germaine Liew to human resources generalistGermaine Liew takes up her new role as human resources generalist starting in September. She joined Schneider Electric as a human resources specialist in 2015. Liew holds a degree in business from the University of London. She has been working in the HR industry since 2013. Her new role is based in Singapore.

Ronald Chen is the new HR executive at Kotobuki RestaurantRonald Chen takes up his new role as HR executive at Kotobuki Restaurant in September. He has three years of experience in Singapore's HR industry. His previous employers include Connectus Group, Capita, and Standard Chartered. His new role is based in Singapore.Antonia Cruz joins Granite Services as HR GeneralistAntonia Cruz has taken up her role as HR Generalist at Granite Services starting in September. She gained administrator and sales experience prior to entering Hong Kong's HR industry six years ago. Most recently she held several brief positions at Zurich, CIBC, Principal Financial Group, and Asia Digital MOJO. She will continue to work in Hong Kong.

Richemont strengthens its recruitment teamCecilia Lee joined Richemont as recruiter - corporate function, starting in July 2016. In her new role, she is responsible for both regional and local hiring. She handles all aspects of the process, from sourcing candidates, to interviewing, to closing the case.

In addition, Lee is involved in some HR projects and deals with external vendors. Going forward, she will take part in some of the company's recruitment efforts in Macau. Prior to joining Richmont, she worked as a recruitment consultant at Robert Walters. Her new role is based in Hong Kong.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch welcomes Emily Wong to its recruitment teamEmily Wong joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as campus recruitment coordinator in September. She initially started as a part-time administrator at a recruitment firm and now has over eight years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Wong had been working as a personal assistant at Hays for almost five years. She is based in Hong Kong.

Nithyaah Veloo joins Qi Group as senior executive, talent acquisitionNithyaah Veloo took up her new role with Qi Group as senior executive, talent acquisition in August. She has almost four years of experience in Malaysia's HR industry. Her prior employers include Adecco Group and Randstad Sourceright. Most recently, she worked as an on-site recruiter for Resource Solutions. Her new role is based in Malaysia.

Nidhi Aurora is promoted to human capital consultant at DeloitteDeloitte has promoted Nidhi Aurora to human capital consultant as of September. Aurora joined the company in 2013 as a senior compensation specialist and worked her way up the ranks. She holds a degree in statistics and has held various positions related to HR over the last eight years. She will continue to be based in India.

GSK welcomes Aziza Fitriani as talent acquisition managerAziza Fitriani takes up her new role as talent acquisition manager with GSK in Jakarta, Indonesia starting in September. She has a university background in psychology and human resources, as well as seven years of experience working in the HR industry. Starting as an executive trainee, Fitriani has steadily worked her way up the ranks. Prior to joining GSK, she was country recruitment leader for IBM in Indonesia.

Microsoft promotes Edwin Seah to APAC university recruiterEdwin Seah takes up his new role within the company as of September. He initially joined Microsoft in 2014 as a talent executive. In his new job, he will be responsible for seeking out and engaging with the best university talent.

As part of the recruitment team, he supports all of Microsoft's hiring needs from universities, including full time and intern positions in engineering, finance and marketing. He will remain based in Singapore.

Aviva appoints Kam To as head of people, Hong KongAviva has appointed Kam To as head of people, Hong Kong starting in September. He brings with him over 16 years of HR experience, with previous positions at Manulife and Citi. Prior to joining Aviva, he was senior vice president, human resources, Hong Kong & China at DBS Bank. His new role is based in Hong Kong.

Edwin Tan is the new VP human resources at Fullerton Financial HoldingsFullerton Financial Holdings has appointed Edwin Tan as VP human resources starting in September. Tan brings over 17 years of experience in the HR industry with him. His previous employers include adidas, Marks & Spencer, and Samsung Electronics. Most recently, he was the regional human resources director at Sephora. His new role is based in Singapore.

Robert Half appoints Matthieu Imbert-Bouchard as managing directorMatthieu Imbert-Bouchard has been appointed as managing director of Robert Half Singapore. Imbert-Bouchard was recently the Associate Director for Robert Half Singapore, and this new appointment will see him responsible for all of the company’s operations in Singapore effective immediately.

With almost ten years’ experience working for Robert Half Singapore, he has a successful track record of delivering exceptional staffing solutions for clients across numerous industries in Singapore.

Oliver James Associates welcomes Anna Agafonova as manager, banking - Asia PacificAnna Agafonova took up her new role as manager, banking for the Asia Pacific region in August. In her new role, she is tasked with building Oliver James' banking team across APAC. Agafonova has over ten years of recruitment experience within the banking and financial services area across Russia, CIS, Baltics, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific.

In her new role, she will focus on placing mid-senior level professionals in the strategy, change, transformation space within banks and management consulting companies. Having previously worked in Russia and China, she has relocated to Hong Kong for her new role.

Maureen Ho joins RGF as principal consultant in RGF executive searchMaureen Ho joins RGF as a principal consultant for the HR, consumer and FMCG practices in Singapore. She brings over eight years specialist HR recruitment experience in placing HR Professionals from mid to senior levels into MNCs across diversified industries.

Prior to joining the executive search industry, Maureen was an internal recruiter and HR generalist, and had retail management experience.  Having worked in China for four years and travelled extensively, Maureen is internationally minded, appreciates diversified cultures and is adaptable to varying environments. She is based in Singapore.

Martin Hill joins Randstad as associate directorRandstad welcomed Martin Hill to the team as associate director in August. He brings with him 12 years of experience in HR recruitment, having led teams in the UK and Australia. Hill has spent the last six years in Singapore, leading searches for senior level HR appointments across Asia. Some of his previous employers include Michael Page, Reed, and Links. He will continue to be based in Singapore.

BUPA appoints Rebecca Lo as senior organisation development managerRebecca Lo took up her new role with BUPA in June. As senior organisation development manager she is responsible for developing an integrated talent management framework, strategies and policies, and deploying HR offerings in the area of talent management and organisational development. Lo holds a degree in occupational psychology and has over seven years of experience in the HR industry. Her new role is located in Hong Kong.

Randstad welcomes Adeline Foo as principal consultantAdeline Foo takes up her new role as principal consultant as of September 2016. Foo has over seven years of experience in the executive search industry. In the past, she has successfully placed mid-level to C-suite candidates in Singapore as well as the Asia Pacific region. In her new role, Foo's core focus lies with human resources for the life sciences, chemicals, insurance, and advertising & media industries. She is based in Singapore.

Hays has promoted Alexandra Herlihy to APAC MSP account lead for UBSAlexandra Herlihy was promoted to APAC MSP account lead for UBS in August. She joined Hays in July 2015 in the role of service delivery lead. She started as a temporary recruitment consultant with The Adecco Group ten years ago and has since worked her way up the recruitment ranks. She will continue to be based in Singapore.

Chloe Voon joins Ascender HCM as regional sales managerChloe Voon took up her position as regional sales manager in August. Among other things, she specialises in payroll, HCM, HRIS outsourcing, human resources, and HR technology solutions. She holds a degree in computer science and has over 11 years of experience working in the HR industry. Her new role is based in Singapore.

Ascender HCM promotes Soh Ohno to regional sales managerSoh Ohno has been promoted to regional sales manager by Ascender HCM. Ohno joined the company in March 2016 as an account manager in charge of account management for existing clients in Japan. In his new role, he is responsible for new business development as well as account management in the North Asia region. Ohno has almost ten years of recruitment experience. He will continue to work from Tokyo, Japan.

ManpowerGroup welcomes Lissa Johari to the Singapore teamLissa Johari joined ManpowerGroup as senior marcom specialist in July. She has over four years of exprience in recruitment and HR consultancy, as well as extensive marketing and communication knowledge. Her specialties are communications, relationship management, marketing, brand management, project management, and editorial. Prior to joining ManpowerGroup , Johari was employed with IHS as a senior marine specialist.

Juwita Juneanto joins Mercer as consulting managerMercer welcomes Juwita Juneanto to the team this September as she joins the company in the role of consulting manager. Juneanto has experience working in Indonesia as well as the Netherlands. Prior to joining Mercer, she held positions at Marsh, KPMG, Hay Group and Rabobank Indonesia. Her new role will be based in Indonesia.
