What do you need to do set the pace in an ever-changing business environment? You need to be the one who changes the game.

Oliver Grohmann, HR senior vice president at Daimler South East Asia, stresses that in order start transforming into a more innovative and productive organisation, businesses need to focus on leadership, first and foremost.

“The world in Asia, our customers and their needs are changing rapidly. We want to sell twice as many cars in 2020 than today. That means that we as an organisation have to change the game.”

Grohmann will give a keynote presentation on developing the next generation of leaders at The Futurist – a must-attend event for forward-thinking organisations on April 23 at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore.

He will discuss why changing the game “must start with the leadership team”.

“We have started to change the mindset, the collaboration model in a virtual world, the usage of coaching, etc,” he said.

Grohmann is the HR senior vice president for the Mercedes-Benz Car Group overseas region. Managing the HR activities across five continents in 21 countries, he has more than 16 years of expertise as an HR practitioner.
