HR practitioner appointments

Mitsubishi Corporation promotes global training and recruitment officer
After serving for more than six years as the firm’s head of HRD Office in Asia, Toyohiro Matsuda was promoted in April to global training and recruitment officer. Based in Singapore, he’s focused on aligning regional training and development systems across regions.

Digi Telecommunications welcomes new head of performance, rewards and analytics
Sulaxmi Prasad came over to Digi Telecommunications for the role after two years with Willis Towers Watson as practice leader. Her appointment came into effect in June. Prasad brings with her more than 10 years of experience in human resources, with strong focus on compensation and benefits. She is based in Malaysia.

Energizer welcomes new APAC lead recruiter
Aloysius Sim was appointed the role in June.  He will be responsible for recruitment at the company across all brands and functions of APAC, via a strategic partnership with Cielo. Based in Singapore, he came over from Lighthouse Global Resources where he was the manager, head of industrial & manufacturing.

Li & Fung Limited has new senior HR vice president
Wong Hui Ling was promoted from vice president Human Resources to the senior title in April.  She joined the company in 2013.   She has more than 20 years of experience in HR, mostly in Malaysia before relocating to Hong Kong to join Li & Fung.

Human Link Asia promotes senior director
Stephane Michaud has been promoted to senior director, consulting at Human Link Asia, a Mitsubishi Corporation company. He joined the company in 2012 as its regional manager (Asia and Oceania) – strategic planning and HRD consulting, before earning the promotion in April. He is currently based in Singapore.

Lucasfilm Animation strengthens HR team
The company hired Angela Rui as HR business partner and talent manager in March. Operating from Singapore, she will play a key role in the delivery of the company’s talent strategy through the partnership with the studio leadership to assist in managing, developing and implementation of HR initiatives.

Pivotal welcomes Lionel Lim as new leader in Asia Pacific
Lim was appointed vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific and Japan of the company with effect in June. In his new role, he looks to further develop the company’s business in Asia Pacific following Pivotal office opening in Australia, China, Korea, Japan, and Singapore. He is based in Singapore.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) promotes senior HR manager
Previously a human resources manager at the bank, Delton Li was appointed the bank’s senior human resources manager (head of talent acquisition – personal banking) with effect from June. He will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

Schneider Electric’s Andre Young relocates to Singapore
After more than three years in Hong Kong, Young moved to Singapore after he was appointed talent management consultant for East Asia Japan in June. He will be leading the company’s talent management function covering 14 countries in the East Asia Japan Zone.

Kering enhances its HR team in Hong Kong
The company hired Fiana Lo as senior HR executive with effect from March.  Lo, who is based in Hong Kong came over from Versace, were she was a HR officer.

Rolls-Royce promotes APAC regional HR head
Stephen Brown was promoted to the role in June.  He had been with the company since 2009 and was the company’s head of talent management – Asia-Pacific role before the promotion. Brown has more than 15 years of experience as regional HR roles in APAC. He is based in Singapore.

Nexus appoints recruitment specialist
Saputra Anastasia was appointed the role in June.  She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in headhunting with a strong focus on the oil and energy sector. Prior to joining Nexus, she was a senior consultant, APAC with Petrolis. She will continue to be based in Singapore.

Schneider Electric expands its HR team
The company hired Norzarith Hani Muhammad as a HR business partner with effect in May.  Her previous job was human resource executive (C&B) at Mondelēz International, a role she has held for four years.  She is based in Malaysia.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance welcomes new HR business partner
Carolina Soares Mendes’s new designation came under effect from June.  In her new role, she will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, performance appraisal, succession planing and talent management. She came over from Microsoft at Portugal where she served as the recruiter for the WE GTA Team.

Legoland Malaysia announces new talent acquisition advisor
Helmy A. Bakar’s appointment came into effect in June. He returns to Malaysia for the job, after spending 10 months in Singapore serving at the human resources department of Venture Corporation.

Charles & Keith Group promotes training manager
The group’s Academy of Competence & Excellence has promoted Gladys Tan to manager, learning and development with effect in June. In her new role, Tan will lead a team of 6 L&D executives from the academy comprising Charles & Keith and Pedro Singapore and International. She is based in Singapore.

Cochlear enhances recruitment team
The firm appointed Lee Wai Leong as senior recruitment specialist in June. Based in Malaysia, he had been in the hiring sector since 2011. His previous position was senior consultant at Spring Professional.

Roche welcomes new HR manager
Rosziana Roslan picked up the role in June after serving as a human resources Manager at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia for more than three years. She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in HR with more than 5 years of leading role in HR, reporting directly to the CEO. She will continue to be based in Malaysia.

Trigyn Technologies promotes talent acquisition senior manager
Rajiv Ranjan was promoted from recruitment manager to the role in April. In his new role, he is responsible for chalking out recruitment strategy, and closing recruitment deals and finally induction of resources into the organisation. He is based in India.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Lockton Benefits Group Asia appoints AVP, client advocate
Colin Kwek was handed the role in June. He will focus on advising and empowering businesses to enhance their workforce health, risk and productivity. He will continue to be based in Singapore.

Keeta Duldig joins KPMG in the UK
After serving as director, HRBP Asia Pacific for American Express in Sydney, Duldig relocated to the UK in June for her new role as HRBP for KPMG.  She has served in the HR sector for nearly 10 years, and is experienced in leading significant projects in complex stakeholder environments.

Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) welcomes new COO
Thuan-Hooi Geh was promoted to COO and vice president at MIHRM with effect in June.  He had been with the institute since 2014 and was promoted from the senior business partner role.

GP Strategies Corporation welcomes new director of client engagement
Oliver Castling was appointed the role in June. He has nearly 10 years of experience serving in the HR sector with a strong focus on relocation and moving services. Operating from Singapore, he had served in firms such as Asian Tigers Group and Santa Fe Relocation Services.

Monster International hires business development manager
Jasreena Dhaliwal was appointed the role in as recruitment consultant in June.  She came over from Adecco Group where she served as a recruitment consultant/credit controller.  She is based in Malaysia.

Sodexo promotes training manager
William Loke was promoted from learning and development manager to learning and development Manager – Malaysia and Singapore, and employee engagement manager, Malaysia, with effect starting June. He is based in Malaysia.
