In 2026, an increased use of technology and data will lead to more fluidity in talent flow and mobility, brings out Amanda Gervay, regional head HR, Asia Pacific, at Thomson Reuters.

In 2026, an increased use of technology and data will lead to more fluidity in talent flow and mobility, especially since the next generation of talent are seeking more variety in their work and are comfortable with change in a shorter period of time.

I predict there will be new emerging clusters of how and where talent pools come together, such as geographical talent marketplaces, subject matter expert networks and communities that may not exist today.

This means the talent acquisition function will have to take advantage of those new platforms by being talent connectors, bringing skills and experiences together to match company needs and resource requirements at a much faster pace and in more creative and innovative ways.
