TVET elements will also be incorporated in the National Service Training Programme to broaden the potential of TVET careers and engage TVET institutions in developing a skilled generation.

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has chaired the National TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Council Meeting on Bill.3/20/2019. The primary focus was to enhance the development of cybersecurity talent amidst the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

As DPM Zahid Hamidi affirmed, "Cyber Security Malaysia and TVET institutions are committed to improving the expertise of the local workforce through an ongoing structured programme".

In this regard, Malaysia will launch the Cyber Security Academy under CyberSecurity Malaysia, marking what the leader called a proactive step to strengthen the country's cyber defense.

Further, the TVET elements will be incorporated in the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) to broaden the potential of TVET careers and engage TVET institutions in developing a skilled generation.

DPM Zahid Hamidi also expressed his appreciation towards Khazanah Nasional's GIFT programme (Global Initiative for Future Talents) which aims to enhance the skills of TVET graduates in communication, problem solving and critical thinking in order to produce competitive professionals.
