HR practitioner appointments

Ravi Bhogaraju has taken up a new role at the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore (HBS)In addition to his current role as the head of global HR textiles and head HR Asia at Archroma, Bhogaraju has taken up the position of steering committee member, mentorship program at HBS, effective June 2016. He will continue to remain based in Singapore. Speaking to Human Resources about his new role, Bhogaraju said: "The HBS Club of Singapore has partnered with the Singapore Ministry of Education to launch a Mentorship program for young Singaporeans in local polytechnic schools and universities. The concept of this programme is to spend time with students and to provide different viewpoints and ways of thinking to which they might not otherwise be exposed."

Hudson Ng is now a human resources business partner at beIN Media GroupNg joined beIN Media Group in July from Sony Pictures Entertainment where he held the role of senior manager, people and organisation. With nine years under his belt, Ng is an experienced professional in HR business partnering (Singapore and regional), talent acquisition, management of recruitment vendors and subcontractors, and internal talent mobility. For his new role, he will remain based in Singapore.

Melissa Gee Kee moves up the ranks at UnileverGee Kee has been promoted by Unilever from the role of leadership and organisation development director, South East Asia and Australia to the role of strategy director to CHRO and global HR4HR director. She has accumulated more than 14 years of experience both as a consultant and in-house HR professional covering all facets of leadership and organisational development and HR management. Her new role sees her relocating from Singapore to United Kingdom, effective June 2016.

Equis welcomes Kelly Leong, HRP to its HR teamLeong has joined Equis as a senior human resources manager in July 2016 from her previous role as Asia senior human resources manager at Ultratech. Based in Singapore, she is a creative and results-oriented HR professional with over 10 years of experience in HR management and leadership. Leong possesses cross cultural knowledge of the Asia region and has also been accredited by the Singapore Human Resource Institute.

Sabrina Ho gets promoted at Avery DennisonAvery Dennison has promoted Ho to the role of manager, Hong Kong HR and North Asia organisational development,effective July 2016. She was previously the company's human resources manager, Hong Kong, Materials Group. She comes with about five years of HR experience both as a consultant and in-house professional and has been with Avery Dennison since July 2014. She will remain based in Hong Kong.

Grace Ng is a senior recruiter at MaxisNg joined Maxis from her previous role as HR generalist at DiGi Telecommunications in July 2016. She possesses 11 years of experience in HR management and has spent nine years specialising in recruitment. She will remain based in Malaysia in her new role.

Inditex welcomes Jeffrey Ng to its recruitment teamInditex has appointed Ng to the role of assistant recruitment manager effective July 2016. He has about six years of HR experience both as a consultant and in-house HR professional in various companies such as Lane Crawford and Hydrogen Group. He will remain based in Hong Kong.

Ben Roland is now part of Schneider Electric's employer branding teamRoland joined Schneider Electric in July 2016 in the role of employer branding and communication strategist for East Asia and Japan. In his new role he is responsible for developing purposeful communications to drive talent attraction and engagement. He was previously talent acquisition and employer branding business partner for people operations at Grab. He will remain based in Malaysia.

Azrul Mukhriz Abdul Manaf leaves Bloomberg TV MalaysiaPreviously an HR consultant at the company, Abdul Manaf has since left the company. With effect from June 2016, he joined Laila Fabrik Sdn Bhd ("Laila Fabrika") as an HR consultant with seven years of HR experience under his belt. In his new role, he will remain based in Malaysia.

Tommy Lau joins HSBCLau has joined HSBC in July 2016 as a specialist recruiter for HSBC Insurance from his previous role as a senior consultant for life and health recruitment, Hong Kong and Asia at Darwin Rhodes. In his new role, he is responsible for HSBC's High Net Worth Insurance function in various areas such as acturial, underwriting, product management and more. He will remain based in Hong Kong.

Benson Yeung is the assistant training manager at Eaton, Hong KongYeung joined Eaton, Hong Kong from his previous role as learning and development executive at Cathay Pacific Airways in July 2016. Armed with a Bachelor of Social Sciences from The Open University of Hong Kong, Yeung is an expert in the professional training field, he is passionate in helping others find success. He will remain based in Hong Kong.

Hank Tu is Nike's senior talent acquisition managerTu joined Nike in July 2016 from his previous role as director of practice for life science and professional serviecs at Talent2, An Allegis Group Company. Tu has about 10 years of recruiting experience, both as a consultant and an in-house professional. He will remain based in Shanghai, China.

Leo Ler is now part of Moduslink's teamLer has joined the company in May 2016 as a HR specialist from his previous role as HR/admin executive at Gain City Group of Comapnies. He comes with about nine years of HR experience both as a consultant as well as an in-house professional. He will remain based in Singapore.

Aegene Ong joins Cochlear's talent sourcing teamEarlier this month, Ong was appointed by Cochlear to the role of global talent sourcing specialist. She joins Cochlear from her previous role as an executive search consultant at Bo Le Associates. With about seven years of business and recruiting experience under her belt, skills the Ohio State University graduate is known for includes executive search, sourcing, talent acquisition, and business development. She will remain based in Malaysia.

Carole Le Meur is Barry Callebaut's new CHROLe Meur joined Barry Callebaut from her previous role as vice president of human resources APAC at Baxter and Intercontinental Baxalta business, effective April 2016. She comes with over 19 years of HR experience both as a consultant and in-house HR professional. This new role sees her relocating from Singapore to Switzerland.

Agoda welcomes Zuzana (Chomistekova) Arvin to its teamArvin has moved from being the recruitment operations manager - Allegis Global Solutions for American Express at American Express to heading global recruitment under CEG (customers experience group) for Agoda as its head of recruitment CEG. This new role sees her relocating from Malaysia to Thailand.

Amit Sarin gets promoted by Caterpillar Earlier this month, Sarin has been promoted by Caterpillar Inc. from the role of learning and development manager for India to learning and development manager for South Asia. In this role, Sarin will be responsible for developing and providing a wide variety of consistent, responsive HR services and developing and fostering a workforce committed to support the organisation strategy through valued partnerships. He will remain based in India.

HR solutions provider appointments

Naren Ganjoo undertakes new responsibilities at Morgan McKinleyWith more than 13 years of technology recruitment experience, Ganjoo now heads up the technology commerce team in Morgan McKinley and delivers recruitment services across Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he continues to focus on senior leadership roles within technology commerce. He leads a team of six specialists who are experts in various fields such as IT sales and more.

Marcus Eklund has been appointed by FCM Travel SolutionsEklund has been appointed to the role of global leader and will commence officially in late August. He will succeed Gregory Lording who intends to take an extended sabbatical leave after six successful years growing the organisation's global network and multinational business. Most recently from the travel technology company Amadeus, Eklund has worked closely with FCM in recent years and has extensive experience working with both travel agencies and corporations on management of business travel programs. His new role will be based in London.

Nithivut Chanthai joins CentaraAs a major part of the overall vision for the direction of Centara, Chanthai has been appointed to the role of corporate director of training and talent development, effective 11 July 2016. With more than 7 years of experience in training and a quality educational background, Chanthai joins the Centara family after working with the parent company, Central Group – people capability development department as the training manager. The experience and knowledge of the Central Group provides Chanthai great insight into the Centara structure, which has allowed him to quickly become a vital part in the on-going Human Resource initiatives. He will be based in Thailand.

Evelyne Sunitha Koshy has been promoted by AIG Shared ServicesAIG Shared Services has promoted Koshy to the role of director, head of HR shared services APAC effective June 2016. She was previously the company's director - client services operations - HR shared services and comes with 12 years of HR and leadership experience. She will remain based in Malaysia.

Michael Nette has been promoted to director at Ambition AsiaEarlier this month, Ambition Asia promoted Nette from the role of associate director, technology to the role of director of Ambition Asia. Nette is an experienced recruitment professional and people manager with nine years of specialist technology recruitment experience. He specialises in technology recruitment (permanent and contract), new business development, account management, team management and training. He will remain based in Singapore.

CareerBuilder promotes Brian CarrilloCarrillo has been promoted from the role of managing director at CareerBuilder Hong Kong to the role of global solutions architect at CareerBuilder, effective July 2016. This new role will see him relocating from Hong Kong to Phoenix, Arizona Area.

Rohani Faqir is the assistant director at EYFaqir joins EY in June 2016 from his previous role as senior consultant at Talent Search International. He comes with over 17 years of HR experience both as a consultant and an in-house professional. He will remain based in Malaysia.

Angel Lam joins EnvisionLam has been part of Envision's team since July 2016 as lead principal from her previous role as partner (Hong Kong) at Derwent Executive. She holds about 15 years of HR consulting experience working for large MNCs such as ManpowerGroup, Robert Walters and Korn Ferry. She will remain based in Hong Kong. Speaking to Human Resources, Lam says her "core focus is to drive CFO practice (functional practice) and business and consumer services (industry vertical practice) across Greater China region.

Sean Lim is part of One Search Consulting as senior consultantLim joined One Search Consulting in June 2016 from his previous role as senior consultant - IT Practice (ERP - SAP, ORacle, Microsoft Dynamic etc) at RGF International Recruitment Business. He comes with about eight years of experience in HR and business development and is known for skills including recruiting, business development, talent acquisition and sourcing. He will remain based in Singapore.

Ivan Poon re-joins Manpower Services (Hong Kong) Poon re-joined Manpower Services (Hong Kong) as a recruitment consultant - temporary services division in July 2016 from his previous role as business development at JOBDOH. He previously worked for Manpower Services (Hong Kong) as a consultant from April 2011 to June 2013. In his new role he will be based in Hong Kong.

On his new role, Poon told Human Resources that he will be focused on recruiting for part time roles as well as provide solutions to help clients with manpower shortage.

On the reason for re-joining Manpower Services (Hong Kong), Poon said: "I re-joined Manpower because I have lot of memories here. The company led me into the recruitment industry where I made lot of friends from ex-colleagues to candidates."

"Most of the candidates I have helped were either students or teenagers and I like spending time giving them CV and interview tips. I want to keep doing that in Manpower and let people know that, we don't only work for money and that we can help people grow and find the right career for them."

Mae Ann Saguano returns to KSearch Asia ConsultingSaguano returned to KSearch Asia Consulting in July 2016 as its senior manager and practice group head from her previous role as IBM's senior talent programs and engagement partner. In her new role, she handles the attainment of team's periodic revenue target. Previously, she joined KSearch Asia Consulting in 2007 as a search associate for IT and BPO industry practice immediately after graduating from Miriam College. She will remain based in the Philippines.

Kisha Raju is directed to the ad Agoda while with Resource SolutionsRaju is responsible for the whole recruitment process for Travel Operations. Her main focus is on mass recruitment for English speaking customer service to be based in Kuala Lumpur. She joined Resource Solutions in 2014 as a recruitment coordinator supporting the recruitment process for RBC Investor and Treasury Services from her previous role as request management analyst at Hewlett-Packard. She will remain based in Malaysia.

Eddie Chang Seng Dee is executive search consultant at Manpower Group Inc.Chang joined Manpower Group in June 2016 from his previous role as unit manager -ICT2 at Adecco Personnel. With 10n years of consulting and business experience, he is known for skill including recruiting, technical recruiting, training, and talent managerment. He will remain based in Malaysia.

Preeti C. is Mercer Consulting's India business leader, benefitsC. joins Mercer from her previous role as consulting leader -benefits India (South) at Willis Towers Watson. She comes with about 26 years of business and HR experience and will remain based in India in her new role.

Lucas Watt rises up the ranks at Argyll ScottWatt has been promoted by Agryll Scott from managing executive of sales and marketing to managing executive of accounting and finance, effective July 2016. He first joined the company in 2015 as a senior executive for sales and marketing from the role of principal consultant for Asia at Ampersand Executive. Watt is armed with 7 years of recruitment experience within the Hong Kong, Singaporean and Australian markets and has moved from Singapore to Hong Kong for his new role.

Michael Page promotes Quinny ChanChan, previously the manager for sales and life sciences at Michael Page, has been promoted to the role of associate director of sales, digital and life sciences, effective July 2016. She joined Michael Page in 2010 in the role of consultant to senior consultant of finance from her previous role as a research executive (qualitative) at TNS. She will remain based in Hong Kong.

Mounika KLK is the human resources manager at eSecForte TechnologiesKLK joined eSecForte Technologies in July 2016 from her previous role as HR executive at Monline Technology and services. A graduate of Emeralds Advanced institute of Management studies, KLK started her career in 2015 as a corporate relationship officer at Hinduja Global Solutions (HGA). She is known for skills including talent acquisition, employee relations, management and employee engagement. She will remain based in India.

Kelley Stuck has been appointed by the University of VirginiaStuck will assume the role of vice president and chief human resources officer at the University of Virginia (UVA). Currently interim vice president of human resources for the University of Missouri system, Stuck, will assume the leadership position from 6 September. As UVA’s top human resources executive, Stuck's responsibilities include creating innovative ways to engage all employees and will establish a culture, systems and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems. She will be based in Virginia.
