HR Practitioner Appointments

AlipayHK welcomes Cass Cheung
Cass Cheung recently joined AliPay in Hong Kong as head of human resources. Alipay is an escrow service for online purchases on Alibaba’s marketplace. Alipay provides secure, trustworthy and convenient online and mobile payment services. Cheung has previously worked as HR lead in Hong Kong at Accenture and as HR transformation lead/operations manager for Asia Pacific at Maersk Hong Kong.

Cassady Winston new Human Resources Director, APAC for Ipreo
Ipreo is a financial services technology, data and analytics firm. Winston has almost two decades of progressive HR experience in globally-matrixed organisations. He has spent the past eight of those years leading HR functions in Asia based in Hong Kong. Before joining Ipreo Winston worked at Cathay Pacific Airways as manager of people development and change, the Hind Group as group HR director and as senior director of human resources in Asia at AECOM.

Gia Sun joins the team at Link Reit
Real estate investment company Link Reit in Hong Kong welcomed Gia Sun onboard this month as a senior human resources manager. Before joining Link Reit Sun worked with commercial real estate company CBRE as senior manager, talent acquisition, human resources for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, as a client recruitment specialist for greater China at American Express (Allegis Global Solutions) and as a senior consultant at Michael Page International.

McDonald’s Restaurants (HK) appoints Gavis Ho as human resources consultant
Ho joined the human Resouces team this month at McDonald’s aiming to align the Hong Kong division with the values of this global giant. Ho is a seasoned HR practitioner and has worked previously with staffing firm Kelly Services as a talent consultant (RPO solution, sales & marketing), as a talent specialist for global recruitment firm Futurestep, A Korn Ferry  Company and as a recruitment consultant for Galen Personnel Services Company.

Joseph Chan designated group human resources & administration manager (Head of HR)
Tsit Wing Group has added Chan to their team in Hong Kong. As head of human resources for Tsit Wing Group, Chan leads their HR and Admin team in Hong Kong and major cities in China. Chan has a unique blend of hospitality and human resources experience. Before joining Tsit Wing Group Chan was the human resources manager (Hong Kong Head Office) for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and the human resources manager and environmental management system manager at the Aberdeen Marina Club.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Daniel Kan expands Team Music to Hong Kong
Managing Director of Team Music (Singapore) Pte Ltd Daniel Kan has expanded his regional reach and brought his unique product to Hong Kong and opened Team Music (Hong Kong) Limited. Team Music is a corporate rock band teambuilding program that focuses on leadership agility, team chemistry and change management. Clients include schools, corporate companies, MNCs, families and non-profit organisations.

New appointments at CXA Group in Singapore
CXA Grop has appointed Neil Persaud as their Chief people officer. Persaud joined the CXA earlier this year after working with Arkadin for many years where he left his post as regional vice-president in Asia Pacific. Persaud is also a lecturer at NY college where he teaches leadership development and is currently studying towards a doctoral degree in organisational change management.

Dr Steven Tucker has joined CXA Group as their Chief Medical Officer. CXA delivers health and wellness solutions to companies by using data to make targeted recommendations. Dr Tucker founded his own medical practice in 2011 that deals with the prevention and early diagnosis of breast and prostate cancer as well as wellness-focused general medicine that emphasises individualised data-driven treatment plans based upon each patient’s unique biology as well as lifestyle factors. Dr Tucker has also worked as a consultant to numerous stakeholders, including government, academia, multi-national enterprises, and patient advocacy groups.

Majella Slevin joins Sigmar Recruitment as a senior recruitment consultant
After a successful career in training in France, Slevin moved to Australia where she first started working as a recruiter.She then moved to Singapore for nine years and focused on recruitment for the Financial Services industry with Robert Walters. She now joins the sales and marketing division in Sigmar Recruitment, Galway in Ireland and will be focusing on recruiting Sales and Marketing Professionals across a range of industries.

KOS International appoints Martin Tsang as consultant in sales and marketing division
Tsang, based in Hong Kong has joined recruitment consultancy firm KOS International earlier this year. KOS International helps recruit talent across a range of sectors from banking and finance to digital marketing and construction. Tsang was formally an associate consultant and regional consultant for HRnet One as well as a manager for Hollister Co.
