Deliveroo provides more than 300 free online courses to upskill riders

Effective 10 June, Deliveroo will offer more than 300 free online learning courses for its riders in growing their business and soft skills.

These courses cover topics such as building a sales strategy, the key traits needed to set up a successful business, job search strategy, support in developing a career plan, picking the right job, working autonomously and in preparing written documents such as a CV.

Courses in web design, one of the most in-demand skills amongst Deliveroo riders, will also be offered.

This initiative will be an extension of the food delivery service company's partnership with OpenClassrooms, to provide unlimited free online learning access to Deliveroo riders in and outside of Singapore.

After completing a course, these riders would attain a Certificate of Achievement which can be added to future job applications.

Since the initiative was introduced in September 2018, over 2,700 riders globally have accessed over 3,200 courses on the OpenClassrooms platform. Riders have also completed close to 11,500 course hours, and earned 260 Certificates of Achievement.

In Singapore, nearly 150 riders have signed up to date, on par with the global average of 178 riders per country.
