Up the ranks: New leadership for Ipsos in Singapore and Malaysia

As the Singapore and Malaysia (SiMa) CEO for Ipsos moves on to take up a more client-centric role, the company has announced that the CEO role will split - resulting in new leadership at both Singapore and Malaysia.

Miranda Cheung, the SiMa CEO of Ipsos will undertake the role of chief client officer for Asia Pacific, effective July 1, 2015.

In this role, she will focus on creating dialogue and engagement with key clients in the region to strengthen business relationships, reporting to Lifeng Liu, CEO of APAC.

Taking her place are internal successors, with the healthcare leader of SiMa, Joseph Chua, appointed the managing director of Ipsos Singapore, effective April 8th, 2015.

In the other office, the marketing leader and executive director, Katharine Davis, takes on the role of managing director for Malaysia.

Both Chua and Davis will report to Lifeng Liu in his capacity as interim CEO of SiMa.

Liu commented on the changes, "Succession planning is critical to sustain our business, I am very glad that we have Joseph and Katharine ready to take on the Singapore and Malaysia leadership roles."

"I am looking forward to working with them and to have the opportunity to mentor them as well."

Chua has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research, and has been credited with growing the healthcare business, team capacity, and relationships with regional clients at Ipsos.

Davis has focused her 17-year career on research for business and people management, and has been credited for her extensive cultural understanding and cross-sector exposure.
