Up the ranks: Benjamin Wong appointed CHRO at K. Wah International Holdings

After 5 years at Knorr-Bremse as human resources director, Asia Pacific, Benjamin Wong took on a new role with real estate developer K. Wah International Holdings in June.

In his new role as chief human resources officer, Wong will oversee the overall talent management processes for the organisation, which focuses highly on people as important assets.

"Joining a real estate development business is a new experience for me. I believe the skills I have developed in previous positions in human resources, along with my CPA and MBA qualifications will help ensure a smooth transition," said Wong in an interview with Human Resources.

His top priority is to get the organisation prepared for its upcoming rapid growth by enhancing its HR value. "HR needs to be always perceived as the organisation’s right-hand man, to cover what the business requires us to do, rather than what HR wants to do," he said.

Wong brings with him more than 20 years of experience in managing human resources, including 14 years of experience working on the mainland.
