The best and worst jobs of the year have been released, and it looks like 2013 might not have been the year for HR leaders.
According to CareerCast.com, which ranks 200 jobs from best to worst annually, being a human resources manager is the 31st best job to have in 2013.
Not bad, you might think - but when you consider the same job was ranked in third place in 2012, you might think again.
The rankings are provided every year based on five key criteria – physical demands, work environment, income, stress and hiring outlook.
Taking out the number one spot in 2013 is being an actuary, followed by biomedical engineer and software engineer. Software engineers have lost their number one spot from 2012.
The worst three jobs were newspaper reporter in last place, followed by lumberjacks and enlisted military personnel.
