Watch: 3 women leaders on the lessons, challenges, and strengths that shaped their careers

In conversations with the HRO team, dance academy founder Vicky Lee Ward, regional HR leader Sameen Khan, and skincare boutique founder Crystal Lee reflect on what being a woman at work means today.

- With inputs by Sarah Gideon.

This International Women’s Day, in line with #GiveToGain, we spoke to HR and business leaders across sectors to learn about their experiences as women in the workplace. We asked them:

  1. What does being a woman mean to you today?
  2. What is one lesson your career has taught you about being a woman at work?

Their responses offer candid reflections, hard-earned career lessons, and personal insights into how women are navigating leadership today. In conversations with the HRO team, these leaders share what being a woman at work means to them, and how their experiences continue to shape their perspectives on leadership, equity, and resilience.

Meet the leaders featured in our first video:

  1. Vicky Lee Ward, Founder, All That Jazz Dance Academy
  2. Sameen Khan, Regional HR Director (APAC/MEA/AU), Grey Global
  3. Crystal Lee, Founder, Peachy

Watch the video below and stay tuned for part 2, where more leaders share their perspectives on being a woman at work.
