HR practitioner appointments

Ravi Bhogaraju has been promoted by ArchromaEffective July 2016, Bhogaraju moves up the ranks from his previous role as head HR Asia at Archroma, to global head HR and talent at Archroma, effective July 2016. He has been with the company since November 2013 when he joined in the role of HR head of HR Asia. As a stretch to his role, in 2014 to 2015, Bhogaraju took on the role of global HR integration lead. Prior to joining Archroma, Bhogaraju was the head of HR services APAC at Syngenta Asia Pacific. In his new role, Bhogaraju will be based in Singapore.

Michele Loh has been appointed to the role of compensation and benefits managerIn September 2016, Loh was appointed to the role by FMC Technologies from her previous role as manager, reward and performance management at ING. Loh comes with about 10 years of experience in employee benefits, in both consultant and HR practitioner roles and has worked for various MNCs such as Mercer, Aon Hewitt and BP. She will be based in Singapore.

Eve Kwek moves to DHL's parcel, e-commerce and post divisionAfter working with DHL Express as senior manager, HR performance and programs since June 2014, Kwek will move to the parcel, e-commerce and post division to lead a team of HRBPs, based in Singapore, effective 17 October. In her new role she will act as a trusted advisor to the business and partnering with the members of the business management team in the regional office. The role also provides effective leadership to the project management team for new market entries and aligns HR activities to the business strategy to support business goals and influence the strategic direction of the business balanced with the human resources perspective. A recent achievement of DHL Express during her stint is the winning of the Aon Best Employer 2016 in Singapore.

Sharifah Atikah Syed Hussein is assistant manager -organisational development Effective July 2016, Sharifah joined an FMCG Beverages company as assistant manager - organisational development, from her previous role as senior learning for development executive at L'Oreal. In her new role, she is responsible for organisation diagnostic and design, change management, talent management, leadership development, employer branding and diversity and inclusion. She will be based in Malaysia.

Christine Jacob Gumba moves up the ranks at UnileverHaving first joined Unilever in 2010 as a workforce administration analyst, Gumba rapidly rose up the ranks, with her most recent promotion being from the role of recruitment focal/POC for Unilever Global Shared Services to the role of recruitment lead at Unilever Global Services, with effect from September 2016. Prior to joining Unilever, she was a human resources assistant at Globe Telecom. Gumba will remain based in the Philippines in her new role.

Lucy Allard has joined Ski-Val as director, recruitmentAllard joined the company in September 2016 from her previous role as HR practice lead at Space Executive. In her new role, she is responsible for the recruitment of overseas resort staff and any staffing related issues from training through to operational logistics. She is based in Bristol, United Kingdom.

Rhonda J. Morris moves up the ranks at Chevron Corporation Chevron Corporation has named Rhonda J. Morris corporate vice president of human resources, effective October 1, 2016. Morris, 50, is currently the vice president of human resources for Chevron's downstream and chemicals business. In her new role, she will oversee Chevron’s HR, diversity and ombuds, and medical and health services groups. Morris will report to Chevron’s corporate vice president of human resources and corporate services, Joe Laymon, who will continue to oversee Chevron business and real estate services, global security and aviation until his planned retirement in late 2017. She will be based in the United States

HR solutions provider appointments

Lena Lim has joined Income as deputy vice president and head, talent acquisitionLim joined Income in September 2016 from her previous role as HR business partner at AIA. She comes with about 21 years of HR experience and is best known for her skills in human resources, employee benefits, performance management, employee engagement and more. She will remain based in Singapore.

Leong Sherney has joined Exact Asia Development CentreSherney joined the company in September 2016 as a senior talent acquisition consultant from her previous role as talent acquisition and integration consultant at Avande Malaysia. Leong speaks three languages - English, Malay, and Chinese - and is best known for her skills in recruiting, human resources, management, onboarding, and more. She will be based in Malaysia.

Alec Goe returns to TBC HR ConsultingAfter three years and various stints - most recently the operation manager at Betsie, Goe has returned to TBC HR Consulting in the role of recruitment consultant in the resource delivery team. He was previously a senior recruitment consultant at the company. In his new role, his responsibilities include helping to grow the volume-based hiring within the entire company. He will be based in Singapore.

British International School of Kuala Lumpur promotes Faathir HaqqaniHaqqani was promoted by the international school in September 2016 to the role of human resource officer, from his previous role as human resource assistant. Prior to joining British International School of Kuala Lumpur, Haqqani was the assistant executive - monintoring and controlling at Advancecon Infra. He will be based in Malaysia.

Ming Kuan Chong has been promoted by AIAEffective September 2016, AIA has promoted Chong from the role of manager, human resources business partner, to the role of senior manager, human resources business partner. In his new role his responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to determine HR priorities for the respective business to drive sustainable growth. Prior to joining AIA in July 2015, Chong was manager, hr services at Hong Leong Group. He will be based in Malaysia.

Page Executive welcomes a new associate director - Southeast AsiaPage Executive has appointed Carla Lastimosa to the role of associate director - Southeast Asia in September 2016 from her previous role as manager - procurement and supply chain at Michael Page. Lastimosa has about 13 years of consulting experience and is best known for her skills in executive search, management, recruiting, strategy, procurement and more. She will be based in Malaysia.

Oh James is associate trainer at IABT Advanced in Business TrainingOh joined IABT ADvanced in BUsiness Training in September 2016 from his previous role as Who is Entrepreneur at Entrepreneur's Insight. In his new role, he will specialise in financial skills traiing in capital market, value creation for corporate and shareholders using lean practices and principles. He will be based in Malaysia.

On the priorities for his new role, Oh told Human Resources that he will be focusing on gathering information on customer needs, getting in touch with training institutes to see available courses and format course to cover neglected areas, improving on course materials, as well as checking with other trainers on best practices.

He added: " I will also be focusing on using forums and other community sites to raise my profile, developing and writing irresistible proposals that can sell itself and identify what it takes to provide a rounded offer."

LinkedIn has promoted Maszita HassanIn August 2016, Hassan was promoted by the professional social network company to the role of manager, APAC sales compensation from the role of senior global sales commissions analyst. Prior to joining LinkedIn in 2014, Hassan was the APJ program manager at Hewlett-Packard Singapore where her responsibilities included orchestrating regional stakeholders' engagement efforts. She will be based in Singapore.

Joe McEgan has joined Charterhouse Hong KongMcEgan joined the company in September 2016 in the role of principal consultant- banking from his previous role as consultant - accounting, finance and operations at Morgan McKinley where he specialised within the back and middle office support functions within financial services. McEgan looks to build strong relationships in investment banking and corporate banking within accounting , finance and operations areas. He will be based in Hong Kong.

Deloitte welcomes Prashanti Reddy to its talent acquisition teamReddy has been appointed by Deloitte to the role of senior talent acquisition, effective September 2016. She joins Deloitte from her previous role as HR consultant at Capgemini. She speaks five different languages - English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil - and is best known for her skills in screening, talent acquisition, human resources, recruiting, interviews, sourcing and more. She will be based in India.

Suganthy Selva has returned to Marsh (Marsh & McLennan Companies)Now based in Singapore, Selva returned to the company in August 2016 in the role of head of marketing and communications, Asia, after a years' stint at AIG as strategic marketing manager, Asia Pacific. She first started working for Marsh (Marsh & McLennan Companies) in September 2013 as marketing manager where she was based in the firm's London office.

Jovy Chan has been promoted by PwCEffective July 2016, Chan has been promoted to the role of talent and global performance analyst, global project team (Workday) from the role of HR officer (HR BP), advisory. Chan joined PwC in August 2014 as a fresh graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is best known for her skills in performance management, talent management, human resources and more. She will be based in Hong Kong.

United Eastern Medical Services welcomes Su Tan to its HR teamTan joined United Eastern Medical Services in September 2016 as head of human resources at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, from her previous role as head of human resources and general administration at Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre. She comes with 17 years of HR experience and speaks three languages - English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Iban. She will be based in Malaysia.

Dominic Dunn has joinned Maners Maclean groupDunn joined Manners Maclean Group in September 2016 as associate director APAC from his previous role as associate director - supply chain, procurement, IT and technology, sales and marketing. He is a highly experienced executive level recruitment specialist and HR business partner with an impressive managerial portfolio and proven strategic acumen, spanning more than 10 years in a competitive global environment. He will be based in London, United Kingdom.

Sinosh Panicker has left Heidrick & StrugglesAfter about nine years at the company, Panicker - most recently the associate principal at Heidrick & Struggles - has moved on to join Hunt Partners as a partner, effective August 2016. With about 14 years of business experience, Panicker is best known for his skills in recruiting, leadership, strategy, team management and more. He will be based in India.

On his top priority in the first 100 days of his new role, Panicker told Human Resources that he aims "to establish Hunt Partners as a credible and trust worthy partner to clients in the digital space."

Adept Manpower Solutions welcomes Lee Wei to its team of recruitment consultantsLee joined Adept Manpower Solutions in September 2016 as a recruitment consultant from her previous role as recruitment consultant at Search Personnel. A graduate of Sunway University, Lee is proficient in English and Chinese and is known for her skills including customer service, management, leadership and research. She will be based in Singapore.

Ardian Ismajlaj has joined NES Global TalentIn August 2016, NES Global Talent appointed Ismajlaj to the role of recruitment consultant. Ismajlaj was previously a recruitment consultant at Kelly Services. In his new role, he specialises in recruiting engineering and manufacturing roles from mid to senior level positions in the processes industry such as food and beverages, pharmaceutical, chemical, bio chemical, edible oil, rubber and more. He will be based in Malaysia.

New appointments at ONYX Hospitality GroupTommy Lai named vice president of ONYX North AsiaBased in Hong Kong, Lai holds the role of head of North Asia, and is responsible in leading the operations and business development of all brands in the region. Lai has close to 20 years of experience in the financial, real estate and hospitality industries. He joined ONYX in 2012 as vice president, development of ONYX North Asia. In the past years, he expanded the Shama and OZO portfolios in Hong Kong and China, as well as secured new Amari deals for the region. Before joining ONYX, Lai managed the investment and business division of a multi-billion, cross-border joint-venture project, between the governments of Singapore and China.

Mael Vastine takes up the role of area general manager, Hong KongIn this capacity, Vastine will oversee all brands, including new projects in Hong Kong, and continue to lead OZO Wesley Hong Kong. Vastine joined the company in 2014 as general manager of OZO Wesley Hong Kong, where he was responsible for the overall operations of the group’s first OZO hotel. Prior to joining ONYX, Vastine was the resident manager of the Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel.
