HR practitioner appointments

Lisa Mulligan joins EssilorAs of May 2017, Lisa Mulligan was appointed Essilor's director for organisation development AMERA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Russia and Africa). Essilor designs, manufactures and distributes ophthalmic lenses and equipment for eye care professionals.

Mulligan is an experienced and pragmatic human resources professional with a focus on business partnering, developing leaders and setting and delivering on people strategies for multinational organisations. In her new role, she will be responsible for talent management, change management, organisational effectiveness and culture and values. She has 17 years of HR experience in national and global roles based in Australia, Singapore, and the UK. Prior to joining Essilor, she was the executive director human resources - international, at MRC Global. Her new role is based in Singapore.

Michelle Han joins Alibaba Cainiao as head of global staffingEffective May 2017, Michelle Han is Alibaba Cainiao's head of global staffing. She has over 12 years of experience in the HR and recruitment industry, with previous employers including Manpower and Oracle. Most recently, she was talent hub director at Microsoft, where she first joined as a senior recruitment manager in 2012. She is based in Hangzhou, China.

Microsoft welcomes Jae Hyun Park as HR managerJae Hyun Park has joined Microsoft as HR manager. He took up his new role as of May 2017. He has over 13 years of HR experience in Korea, China, the US, and Singapore. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was HR manager, M&A at IBM, where he joined in 2012 as a workforce analytics consultant. He is based in Singapore.

Yogita Hari Mogan returns to Kuwait Finance House as human capital managerStarting in June 2017, Yogita Hari Mogan is human capital manager, talent and resourcing at Kuwait Finance House. She brings with her 13 years of HR experience, three of which were spent as a recruitment specialist at Kuwait Finance House. Other previous employers include Hewlett-Packard and BT. She is based in Malaysia.

Apple welcomes Len Abad as senior recruiterLen Abad has joined Apple as a senior recruiter. She took up her new role starting in May 2107. Abad has 12 years of experience in the recruitment industry and most recently worked at Equinix as talent acquisition specialist, Asia Pacific. She is based in Singapore.

Ian Sheeven joins Digi Telecommunications as recruitment partnerStarting in May 2017, Ian Sheeven is recruitment partner at Digi Telecommunications. He brings with him five years of experience in recruitment, as well as first-hand knowledge of the technology industry. He is based in Malaysia.

Linda Chew joins the global mobility team at DellEffective June 2017, Linda Chew has joined the global mobility team at Dell. She has seven years of experience in the mobility industry and most recently worked as a client services manager for Cartus Corporation. She is based in Singapore.

Khalil Husaini Yaakob joins the HR team at PETRONASStarting in May 2017, Khalil Husaini Yaakob took up his HR planning and people management role at PETRONAS. He has six years of experience in the HR industry, specialising in industrial relations. Most recently, he worked as a senior HR officer and industrial relations specialist at Mercy Malaysia. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

HR solutions provider appointments

Etienne Bouas-Laurent succeeds Stuart Harrison as CEO of AXA Hong KongAXA Asia Life CEO Etienne Bouas-Laurent will succeed Stuart Harrison as CEO of AXA Hong Kong from 1 September 2017, subject to regulatory approvals, and will continue to report to Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, Regional CEO of AXA Asia. Harrison will become director & senior advisor to continue to lend his experience and expertise to AXA Hong Kong.

Commenting on the appointment, Laurent Josi said: "Bouas-Laurent has had a long and successful career with AXA since 1997. With his passion, energy, and vision, Bouas-Laurent will clearly continue to drive our business to flourish in Hong Kong while transforming it to make it even more digital ready, efficient and customer-centric."

Bouas-Laurent is currently focused on expanding the life & health business in the region. Prior to joining AXA Asia in 2016, he was CFO at AXA Germany and has also led the wealth management business in France.

Chan Yung Phang returns to Gartner (CEB) as managing consultant.As of June 2017, Chan Yung Phang is a managing consultant at Gartner, formerly CEB. Most recently, he was an engagement manager at Heidrick & Struggles, but is now returning to the company where he worked from 2011 until 2015. In his new role, he is responsible for leading a team of consultants to help clients uncover deep insights into their external candidates, as well as unlock the potential of their internal talent through objective assessment and talent management best practice.

He has eight years of experience in the talent development field in Malaysia and Singapore. His new role is based in Shanghai.

Korn Ferry Hay Group promotes Ineet Barthwal to client partnerIneet Barthwal is promoted from senior principal to client partner at Korn Ferry Hay Group effective May 2017. She has 10 years of experience in the recruiting industry in India and Singapore, and joined Korn Ferry Hay Group in 2009 as a senior consultant, before working her way up the ranks. She is based in Singapore.

Eric Tan joins EVO Business Consulting as associate directorStarting in June 2017, Eric Tan is associate director, client solutions at EVO Business Consulting, an IT Outsourcing company under the Temp Holdings Group. He has 13 years of experience in sales and client service within the human resources and financial institution industries in Malaysia.

Prior to joining EVO Business Consulting, he was head of sales, client solutions at Kelly Services. In his new role, his primary focus will lie with sales and business development of the entire organisation. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

EY welcomes Vicky Chen as executive directorStarting from May 2017, Vicky Chen is executive director, China payroll operate services leader, global compliance & reporting at EY. Most recently, she was senior director, China operations at ADP where she started as  lead consultant in 2007 and worked her way up the ranks. She continues to be based in Shanghai.

Marcos Wee is global solutions client liason at KellyOCGMarcos Wee has joined KellyOCG as global solutions client liason, APAC. He took up his new role in May 2017. Wee has 13 years of experience, during which he has held a number of consulting and business development roles in Singapore. Most recently, he was campaign manager at Worldwide Business Research. He continues to be based in Singapore.

Hays welcomes Juwee Lim to the teamJuwee Lim joins Hays as a senior consultant starting in June 2017. She has been developing her career in recruitment since 2014 when she joined Robert Walters as an associate consultant. She is based in Malaysia.

Kelvin Wong moves to Spencer-Ogden as a recruiterStarting in May 2017, Kelvin Wong has joined Spencer-Ogden as oil & gas recruiter, APAC. Most recently, he worked as a recruitment consultant for Capita where he joined in 2015. In his new role, his focus lies with recruiting for well construction and field development projects in Asia Pacific. He is based in Singapore.

Alicia Thea Chu joins Bell WardAlicia Thea Chu has joined recruitment specialist company Bell Ward as a principal consultant, effective June 2017. Prior to this, she was the recruitment & admin manager at Watsons Malaysia for two years. At Bell Ward, Chu will specialise in the sales & marketing function within various industries. She is based in Malaysia.

Searchplus adds Rick Kuo to the teamEffective May 2017, Rick Kuo is international recruiter, cross border talent acquisition at Searchplus. Prior to joining Searchplus, Kuo interned at Hays as a talent associate. In his new role, he is responsible for a range of tasks including candidate sourcing and screening. He continues to be based in Malaysia.
