HR practitioner appointments

Vinodh Mani joins MSC CruisesVinodh Mani joined MSC Cruises in April 2017 as its human resources manager. With a background in international learning and development consultancy, Mani has held many L&D and HR roles throughout his career.

Prior to this, Mani was the L&D manager at Royal Caribbean Cruises where he was responsible for providing professional internal consulting, auditing and preparing reports for shore side and shipboard management of employee training, the execution and delivery of the new hire welcome and orientation programmes for all new shipboard employees; amongst other things. Holding an international portfolio, he has worked with Kurumba Maldives in Maldives, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts in Seychelles and is currently based in Malaysia.

Acquire BPO welcomes HR administratorDawn Deladia has recently joined Acquire BPO as its HR administrator. Acquire BPO is a global business outsourcer that offers contact center, BPO, marketing, animation, IT and professional services. Before this, her last appointment was talent management senior associate at Affinity Express - one of the largest global providers dedicated to marketing production and media solutions and work. She is currently based in the Philippines.

Coty welcomes talent acquisition managerBorn in Canada with international experience in both China and Singapore, Jarrett Lee Anderson is currently based in Singapore. Working at Coty, he handles all the firm’s regional talent acquisition needs. He was previously working with Robert Walters as its senior consultant (marketing) where he managed the end-to-end recruitment process of all marketing-related vacancies in Beijing and North China. In this role, he had successfully supported both Chinese and global corporations with their marketing director, VP, CMO, and related team vacancies.

Muslim Nazari joins TransferFriend as HR managerBringing nine years of experience in HR, Muslim Nazari joined TransferFriend in April 2017 as its HR manager. TransferFriend offers cross-border digital money transfers service with inspirational financial education. Prior to this, Muslim has worked with other firms such as Be Lazee, GlassesGroupGlobal, CSC, Groupon and Symphony BPO solutions. He is currently based in Malaysia and graduated from London School of Public Relations in 2009.

Photobook Worldwide welcomes talent acquisition managerJoachim Ooi joined Photobook Worldwide in April 2017 as its talent acquisition manager. As an IT graduate, Ooi started off as a software technical support engineer. However, he pursued HR and is now holding close to three years of experience in talent acquisition. Ooi has worked with Standard Chartered Global Business Services, kevokloud, GrabTaxi, ServiceRocket and more prior to joining Photobook Worldwide. He is currently based in Malaysia.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts introduces recruitment officerDominic Caracter joins leading international upscale hotel management company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Phillipines as its recruitment officer. With a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality and BPO industries, he is skilled in mock interviews, technical recruiting, screening, applicant tracking systems, and BPO. Previously, Caracter was a senior recruiter at Personiv, and prior to that a recruitment specialist at ADP.

InterContinental Hotels Group introduces new head of corporate HRTaking on the role of the head of corporate HR at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Sarah Pruscino oversees the markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa. IHG franchises, leases, manages or owns nearly 5,200 hotels and 770,000 guest rooms in almost 100 countries; with nearly 1,500 hotels in its development pipeline. Prior to joining IHG in April 2017, Pruscino worked in MullenLowe Group Asia Pacific as its regional HR director (APAC) for close to three years. Currently based in Singapore, Pruscino was previously working in the UK with Lindt & Sprungli as its head of HR.

Dave Tang appointed as HR and admin managerJoining Yuzhou Group in Hong Kong, Dave Tang has recently been appointed as its HR and admin manager. In this role, Tang will be focusing on properties business where he is responsible for revamping the internal workflow and policy for the company, and re-evaluate the career development plan for the team. Additionally, he will also be responsible for forming the company structure, review and improve HR compliance and ethical issues. Prior to Yuzhou Group, Tang was working with Conpak for close to a year as its human resources manager.

Amy Kong joins Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific in Hong KongBringing with her 16 years of L&D and consultancy experience, Amy Kong joins Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific as its recently appointed regional senior HR manager (OD and learning).

Relocating to Hong Kong from Singapore, Kong previously worked with Publicis Communications Singapore as its HR director; and before that at MSLGROUP in Asia as its regional director in learning and people development. Her expertise include learning and development strategy development, leadership programme design, training curriculum design, short term mobility programme design, corporate culture development, internal communications; to name a few.

HR solutions provider appointments

Farid Raman promoted to regional sales trainer at British CouncilFarid Raman joined British Council in May 2015 where he took on the role of a sales manager. After two years successfully fulfilling his responsibilities in the role, Farid has been recently promoted to regional sales trainer where he works hand in hand with the firm’s regional head of sales and customer management to identify priority countries. Additionally, he is focusing on English courses sand SalesForce trainings. Prior to British Council, Farid’s portfolio included working with Nasad, Appco Group Asia, RHB Bank, and more. He is currently based in Malaysia.

Cornerstone Global Partners welcomes Joanna GuoBased in China, Joanna Guo recently joined Cornerstone Global Partners as its managing consultant (media and TMT). Cornerstone Global Partner delivers human capital to a range of industries from Fortune 500 companies to small & medium-sized enterprises. As a global HR solution provider, it provides permanent, contracting, RPO and business consulting services to its clients based in Mainland China, HK, Singapore, and USA as well.

Previously, Guo was part of Talent2 as a consultant where she specialised in middle-to-senior level positions in S&M function with related background such as management consulting, internet, high-tech, e-commerce, retail FMCG, and more.

Michelle Dizon joins Global Executive Solutions Group (GESG)Based in the Philippines, Michelle Dizon is GESG’s recently appointed senior business manager. As part of the team at GESG, Dizon is committed to deliver professional executive consulting searches in providing highly qualified leaders to complement the management teams of global and local client corporations. Prior to joining GESG, Dizon has worked with several other firms such as Locsin Management Consulting, Asia Select, World Networking Services, and more.

Robert Walters promotes senior consultant (engineering)A seasoned recruiter and specialist in helping engineering professionals find career opportunities in Malaysia, Eugene Kim joined Robert Walters as a specialist recruiter in 2015. Recently promoted to its senior consultant (engineering), Kim is responsible for recruiting top engineering talents for both local and multinational companies.

He focuses on recruiting for areas in operations, production, lean manufacturing, operational excellence, QA/ QC, health and safety, new product development and project management across various industries. Kim was previously and IC design engineer with Altera for more than 5 years. He is based in Malaysia.  

Suren Subramaniam now part of TEKSystemsBased in Malaysia, Suren Subramaniam joins TEKSystems, the flagship company of Allegis Group, as its associate consultant (recruitment for IT). On that note, he is responsible roles including C++, C#.NET developer, java developer, project manager (infra and apps), solution architect, service desk analyst, technical officer, network engineer, QA automation, SQL Developer; to name a few. Previously, Subramaniam has worked with Appco Group Asia as well as Tesco in the UK.

Athieswaran Nalarajah relocated for role with Kelly ServicesAthieswaran Nalarajah has joined Kelly Services in California as its recently appointed sourcing specialist. In his role, he is responsible for maintaining a clear and accurate understanding of the entire recruiting process to ensure quality delivery of candidate submissions.

Not only that, his work entails identifying and sourcing talent across multiple sourcing channels including job boards, social media and other platforms/environments that ensure a strong talent funnel. While he is based in the United States now, he was previously in Malaysia where he as worked with major firms such as Randstad Sourceright APAC Sourcing Centre, Groupon Asia Pacific and more.

Stephan Wang appointed director of APAC at Talent PlusTalent Plus has recently announced that Stephen Wang has assumed the director of Asia Pacific role at its Singapore office. Wang’s appointment comes at a significant time for the Asia Pacific operations team, with this year marking its 10th anniversary. Under Wang’s leadership, Talent Plus will step into the next decade of providing strategic counsel for its client partners and growing the company’s presence in the APAC region.

At Talent Plus, Wang is involved with the professional, retail, hospitality, financial and health care sector client partners and focuses on building executive coaching, employee engagement, learning and development, high-potential leadership development practices, and succession planning projects.

KellyOCG welcomes sourcing specialist Yugga SelvarajAs KellyOCG’s new sourcing specialist, Yugga Selvaraj sources for the right candidates through job portals. Specialising in roles under banking and finance, Selvaraj works on her master sourcing plan to find the right fit for her clients. She is currently based in Malaysia, where she first ventured in recruitment at Randstad Sourceright as a sourcing specialist in November 2014. Not only that, she has also worked with Agoda and HSBC.

Alanni Sheng promoted to directorHaving joined Partner One Consulting in 2015, Alanni Sheng started off with the firm as its internet team manager. After close to a year and a half in that role, she has now been promoted to director at the recruitment firm. Previously, Sheng was a consultant and managing consultant at Hudson where she led the team to service its clients in the internet industry. Prior to that, she was a consultant (internet) at ManpowerGroup for almost three years. She is currently based in China.
