Nicole Singer joins SiFive as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

SiFive, founder and leader of RISC-V computing, welcomed California-based Nicole Singer as its Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer as of April 2022.

In this role, Singer will be responsible for leading the company’s global HR organisation, supporting the growth of SiFive.

Speaking on the appointment, Patrick Little, CEO and Chairman, SiFive commented: “I’m excited to welcome Nicole to the team and can’t wait to see her leadership and passion invigorate our company growth on our mission to the top of the high-performance processor IP market.

“Nicole’s talents and expertise will help us expand our team’s already prodigious capabilities with the right people to realize our goal of RISC-V everywhere,” he added.

Singer joins SiFive from Synaptics, where she was SVP of worldwide human resources, supporting their mission to be the leader in combining human interfaces with IoT and AI technologies.

“I’m delighted to be part of the innovative team at SiFive, to help the company move onto the next stage of its journey in building a leading high-performance processor IP business,” said Singer. “SiFive is attracting talent at a fast pace to address the challenges of modern chip design and guiding that growth will be key to our success in executing our roadmap. Singer brings more than 25 years of varied professional experience with technology companies to her role at SiFive. Before Synaptics, she was VP of Human Resources at Xilinx. Prior to joining Xilinx, she served in various technology sales and customer implementation roles at management consulting and software companies such as Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, and PeopleSoft.

Singer received a BA Degree in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and Business, from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and an MBA plus MS in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Boston University in Boston, MA.


Randstad Risesmart welcomes Joel Paul as APAC and IMEA Managing Director

Worklife coaching and career transition specialist, Randstad RiseSmart, has appointed Joel Paul as Managing Director, Randstad Risesmart for Asia-Pacific and IMEA effective May 2022.

Having joined the firm as a regional operations manager in 2008, Paul currently leads the business operations in India and the Middle East. Paul has a strong track record in business development, go-to-market, sales operations, and outplacement markets.

In his newly-appointed role, he will use his experience to bring RiseSmart’s worklife coaching and outplacement solutions across the APAC region, specifically across core markets like China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Japan. 

“I’m thrilled and humbled to be asked to take the lead for the wider APAC and IMEA regions for RiseSmart.,” Paul commented. “The things that really stand out for me about our RiseSmart team are many, but our great leadership and strong company culture are two important ones.”

Prior to joining RiseSmart thirteen years ago, Paul held roles with iPlace USA, Envisionize Services, and Mphasis. Across these roles, he gained a depth of knowledge on the HR buyer and recruitment needs and has witnessed the evolution of talent requirements.

Globalization Partners sees Bob Cahill as its new Chief Executive Officer

Globalization Partners, a Global Employment Platform™, has announced the appointment of Bob Cahill as its new Chief Executive Officer as of April 2022. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, Cahill succeeds Founder and CEO Nicole Sahin, who will remain Executive Chair of the Board. 

Commenting on the appointment, Sahin said: “When I hired Bob, it was with the intention that he would become CEO; he has an unmatched belief in the company’s mission, and vision for its future. I have nothing but confidence in Bob, and the future is incredibly bright for Globalization Partners under his leadership as we enter this next phase of growth.”

After serving as the company's Chief Financial Officer for three years, Cahill was named President of Globalization Partners in November 2021, managing day-to-day operations as the company expanded to new markets. Prior to Globalization Partners, Cahill served as CFO, COO, and CEO at a variety of technology companies. He brings extensive knowledge of all aspects of business management with substantial experience in scaling rapidly growing businesses and guiding numerous companies through complex M&A transactions and IPOs.

No doubt, the past years have proven that location is not a limitation for the workforce of the future. Subramanian (Subbu) Ananthapadmanabhan is now SAP's SVP and Head of Midmarket, APJ

Software solutions firm SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) has appointed Mumbai-based Subramanian (Subbu) Ananthapadmanabhan as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Midmarket, APJ from April 2022. He stepped into the role previously held by SVP Claus Andresen, who now takes on leadership of Cloud Success Services, APJ.

In his new role, Subbu will lead a regional team assisting small and medium enterprises to leverage the power of intelligent enterprise solutions to transform their business. He will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, focusing on cloud hypergrowth, identifying and building opportunities in new market segments and driving customer lifetime value.

Prior to this latest appointment, Subbu was Head of Midmarket, SAP India, where he built a customer-centric, partner-first business. Before joining SAP in 2012, he held leadership positions at Oracle and IBM.

Similarly, under Claus’s leadership of Cloud Success Services, APJ, the organisation works with Fortune 500 companies, startups, and SMEs across the region to ensure they extract maximum value from their enterprise software. With more than a decade’s experience in Asia Pacific, Claus is passionate about how digital transformation can confer competitive advantage by achieving strategic business objectives.


Bharath Raj takes on role as new site leader of Blackhawk's India Strategic Development Centre

Global payments provider Blackhawk has announced the expansion of Bharath Raj’s role as the new Site Leader of its India Strategic Development Centre (SDC) as of April 2022. In this role, Raj — who is also Director of Engineering Incentive Solutions — will engage with the global product & technology leadership team, helping to lead strategy and operations of the India centre, and scale and drive growth across all business units. Radhakrishna Venketeshwaran, who previously served as Vice President - Head of Blackhawk’s India SDC, has taken on a new global role.

Commenting on his newly-expanded role, Raj said: “The payments ecosystem has undergone tectonic shifts in the last few years, reinventing the role of technology as an enabler. It has been an incredible experience for me to be a part of Blackhawk Network India’s core team driving innovative products and services for the global market. My key charter at the India SDC includes pushing the boundaries on innovation and encouraging rapid experimentation to deliver strategic outcomes for our global business. I look forward to contributing to Blackhawk’s global expansion by introducing our key products and platforms in new geographies.”

With close to two decades of experience in the fintech space, Raj has developed SaaS products in finance and accounting from ground up, and in his previous roles, has transitioned product development to India from across the globe. Since joining Blackhawk in 2021, Raj has made significant contributions to Blackhawk’s Incentives solutions product line and has been instrumental in building other product lines and functions at the Centre, thus emerging as one of the core leaders at Blackhawk’s SDC. A strong collaborator and leader, Raj has assisted in building effective tech teams at Blackhawk across functions including product management, programme management, infra, and SRE functions, contributing to the enablement of most of Blackhawk’s product lines from the India SDC.
