Aspiro's business services centre to generate 450 to 500 jobs by end 2018

Global business services provider Aspiro today launched its global business services centre in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

According to a media release sent to Human Resources, the launch of this new business services centre marks a new chapter for Aspiro in providing essential skills and competencies to its employees as well as vast exposure to the best international practices and experiences.

Aspiro estimates that this new centre will generate about 450 to 500 jobs across different technologies and capabilities in Malaysia by end 2018 and approximately 1,500 jobs by ens 2019.

In a statement to Human Resources, a spokesperson from the global business services provider revealed: "Aspiro is hiring specifically for operations roles in human resources, finance and accounting, and IT. We are looking to fresh graduates to come on board as analysts up to experienced workforce."

The spokesperson also revealed that fresh graduates will be provided with the training and tools needed to accelerate their career to the next level and ultimately take on senior managerial roles.

Explaining the reason behind choosing Malaysia, Lee said: "Malaysia is a multi-cultural country with a diverse group of talent. This alongside the excellent infrastructure and the friendly business-oriented policies put in place by the government is a perfect location for our multilingual global business services centre.

Also present at the launch today were Encik Mohd Zahid Abdullah, senior director of services sector development division of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI); Dato’ Ng Wan Peng, chief operating officer of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC); Goh Lin Piao, managing director of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP); and Gan Bock Herm, country manager of Jobstreet Malaysia.
