Airbnb, ANZ, Zalora join Asia’s premier recruitment awards

The only regional awards show which recognises and celebrates Asia’s talent acquisition and recruitment champions, the Asia Recruitment Awards, has announced its roster of esteemed judges for 2016.

Composed of accomplished professionals and leaders in HR from around Asia, the jury includes senior HR executives from Asia’s largest employers such as Airbnb, ANZ, Big Dutchman, Cathay Pacific Airways and Zalora.

The Asia Recruitment Awards is open to Asia’s best in-house HR teams and recruitment agencies.

“The Asia Recruitment Awards jury is looking for stand-out examples of talent acquisition from recruitment teams and specialists that even exceed industry standards,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“That’s why the judges this year are individuals who are known for consistently impressing their own organisations and the whole industry with their remarkable work.”

Here are some of the latest additions to the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 jury:

Kelly Coldwell’s vast experience in the Middle East, Australia and Asia explains why she describes herself a global recruitment professional. Today, as Airbnb’s regional recruitment manager for APAC, Coldwell is focused on preserving and driving the company’s culture in the entire region as she brings the very best talent into the organisation.

Her experience as talent acquisition director and general manager at Apple Search & Selection in the UAE expanded her skills and knowledge in recruitment, training, retention, motivation and management of team.

As ANZ’s head of recruitment for APEA, Nerida Oliver performs a full spectrum of human resource functions. Her extensive experience in supervising organisational transformations makes her one of the most respected HR leaders in the region.

Oliver is also known for her navigating fast-paced and challenging environments interacting with cross-cultural and functional leadership globally.

With over 23 years of HR experience, Daniel Leong believes that a best in-class work culture treats employees as partners. Leong underscores this principle as he performs his role as head of human resources for Asia-Pacific at Big Dutchman.

His expertise in human resources management was sharpened by his exposure to various industries, such as financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and aviation sector.

Tony Reynolds is the head of talent acquisition and workforce planning at Cathay Pacific Airways. He is in charge of the direction and various functions of HR talent processes, including global, regional and local talent attraction and pipeline management, the design & implementation of a signature Cathay candidate experience.

He also takes care of the selection and on-boarding of more than 1,000 employees per year, competency model, PM framework design and assessment, and section framework design. Reynolds is also well-versed in employee engagement, organisational development, performance management and talent management.

A veteran in the HR industry, Ching Yee Juin is known for her accomplishments in project management, talent management, competency modelling, job evaluation and HRIS implementation.

Before her current position as associate HR director at Zalora, Ching performed various HR roles throughout her career, a recruitment specialist for Asia Pacific region in the telecommunications industry and assistant manager for business advisory in an established international professional services firm.

Ching holds a master’s degree in Applied Commerce from University of Melbourne preceded by bachelor’ degree in business from Charles Sturt University.

Some of the other companies represented on the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 jury are DHL, Legoland, Nestlé, Pfizer, Singtel, Starbucks, Volvo and many more. All judges, such as Tristram Gray, vice president of human resources at Ericsson, are director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.
