Starting June 2017, Sandeep Khanna starts afresh with Grab, as its new regional lead for people and organisational development.
In this newly created role, he will be looking after performance management, change management, learning and development, as well as diversity and inclusion. He reports to Chin Yin Ong, who is the head of people at Grab. He remains based in Singapore.
With over 25 years of experience in marketing and branding, Khanna made the first move to human capital management, two years ago when he joined Facebook as its regional learning and development partner for Asia Pacific. In his new role with Grab, he will cover all of Grab’s markets, including Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
In an interview with Marketing, Khanna shared that his new role is an expansion of what he did at Facebook where his primary focus was on learning and development.
“Personally it is a perfect evolution for me from a career standpoint. I made a conscious decision to move to coaching and learning from a career in marketing and branding three years ago and this takes me deeper into managing people’s development,” he added.
