Up the ranks: Kriangkrai Raungmethanoparat now leads Gunkul's people & culture team

One of his focus areas is to build a "One Gunkul" culture within his team – where collaboration, agility, and accountability drive everything the team does.

Gunkul Engineering has welcomed Kriangkrai Raungmethanoparat (Kenn) to the leadership team as SVP, Head of People & Culture, effective 1 October 2025. He reports directly to the CEO, collaborating closely with the leadership team to ensure Gunkul's people & culture strategy accelerates its business transformation and long-term vision.

Speaking to HRO, he says his top priority in this new role will be to strengthen Gunkul’s foundation as a people & performance-driven organisation. "This means aligning our people, culture, and systems to support sustainable growth. I’m focused on establishing a modern performance framework that not only drives results but also empowers our people to thrive.

"At the same time, we’re advancing our digital transformation journey through an integrated HRIS platform, creating a seamless employee experience from hire to retire."

Diving deeper, he says his goal is to translate Gunkul’s vision into an actionable people & culture strategy – one that makes performance and culture inseparable. He plans to achieve this by:

  1. Embedding performance excellence through the organisation's new PMS framework and system that connects individual goals to organisational success.
  2. Driving digital transformation to elevate efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and employee engagement.
  3. Fostering a "One Gunkul" culture – a shared mindset of collaboration, integrity, and growth.

"Ultimately, our people strategy should make every employee feel like a key contributor to Gunkul’s transformation and impact."

To this effect, Kenn acknowledges that transforming into a people & performance-driven organisation requires both mindset and capability shifts. The biggest challenge here, he adds, will be ensuring Gunkul's people are ready for change while keeping performance momentum.

"My approach is to balance structure with empathy – through transparent communication, leadership alignment, and continuous learning – so that digital and cultural transformation move hand-in-hand with business performance."

Looking ahead, the leader is aiming to build a "One Gunkul" culture within his team – where collaboration, agility, and accountability drive everything the team does. He shares: "As the people & culture function, we must lead by example 'being strategic partners, data-driven advisors, and champions of growth'.

"I encourage my team to combine human empathy with digital capability, because together they represent the future of HR and the spirit of Gunkul."
