UBER to speak at Recruitment Interactive 2014

7 October 2014, Singapore – Human Resources, the organiser of Singapore’s top recruitment strategy conference, Recruitment Interactive 2014, is pleased to welcome Aki Taha, head of Asia recruiting at global ridesharing powerhouse, UBER, to the event’s expert panel of speakers.

Taha will be joining the technology & innovation panel alongside other leading recruitment experts such as Daniel Wasik, staffing programs lead APAC at Google; Michael Wright, head of talent acquisition APAC at GroupM; and Foo Chek Wee, group HR director SEA & Hong Kong at Zalora.

In a previous interview with Human Resources, Taha had pointed out that the pace at which UBER was growing meant that their “recruiting organisation needs to hire just as fast” – yet without compromising on the standard and the culture of the organisation.

“The effort is global, the pace is fast, the business is demanding, and it’s hard work. But it’s an awesome challenge, and it feels great that our team gets to play such a key role in our growth and success,” stated Taha.

Ang Yoke Han, senior events producer, said one of UBER’s most notable traits is the way they use electronic devices and applications.

“Their applications and media sites are heavily intertwined with the way their business operates. I am positive that Taha will be bringing something uniquely relevant and current to the table. It’s not to be missed.”
