As such, 76% of people in Hong Kong say they don’t have enough time and energy to get their work done, and struggle with being innovative.

Are you or your employees struggling with innovation and strategic thinking during your workdays due to the lack of time and energy? Repetitive yet tedious work such as emails, meetings, as well as the search for information may be blamed, according to the latest report by Microsoft.

According to Microsoft’s data, the average employee spends 57% of their time communicating (in meetings, email, and chat) and 43% creating (in documents, spreadsheets, and presentations). Over two-thirds (68%) of survey respondents say they don’t have enough uninterrupted focus time during the workday, 62% say too much time is spent searching for information, and 64% say they struggle with having time and energy to get their work done.

Looking into specific markets, 76% of people in Hong Kong say they don’t have enough time and energy to get their work done, and those people are more likely to say they struggle with being innovative. This sentiment resonates in other APAC markets:
