Ocean Park, Schneider and Starwood reveal their talent management secrets

The increasing role of HR in talent management reverberates through talent processes, workplace productivity and overall business output.

It is not surprising that companies are prioritising investment in HR to achieve their business goals. But how do HR managers determine what works and what doesn’t today?

Leaders from Ocean Park Hong Kong, Schneider Electric and Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts will join Talent Management Asia 2016, Asia's leading HR strategy conference, to inform the HR community on the latest developments in talent management and human capital strategy.

Talent Management Asia 2016 is a two-day conference held in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in March 2016. The annual event is attended by regional HR leaders and senior HR specialists from the biggest employers in Asia.

“The quality of an organisation’s human capital strategy has a pivotal impact on corporate culture, employee management processes and overall business standing,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“At Talent Management Asia 2016, reputable leaders in the industry will show how organisations can devise a human resource management scheme that can meet both talent needs and business goals.”

Now in its 4th year, Talent Management Asia will explore the most pressing issues organisations and HR practitioners are currently facing today. Among the speakers of the event are:

The vast professional experience of Tom Mehrmann, the current chief executive of Ocean Park Hong Kong, has contributed to the successes of the companies he has worked with.

When Mehrmann joined Ocean Park in 2004, the company’s 11 record-breaking years of business has been attributed to his leadership excellence.

Today, Ocean Park hosts more than 7.8 million visitors a year. Mehrmann’s career began in 1977 at Knott’s Berry Farm, in California, where he held various leadership roles for 21 years.

He led the rebranding and repositioning of Six Flags Marine World when he became its vice president and general manager in 1998. Mehrmann was also a part of Warner Brothers Movie World in Madrid in 2000 as vice president and general manager.
