Effective 1 January, Nikki Gao, managing director for Randstad China takes on the newly created role of managing director, Greater China region. Natellie Sun, managing director for Randstad Hong Kong, has also been promoted to head of search and selection for the Greater China region.

Gao is based in Shanghai and Sun will continue to be based in Hong Kong. Sun's current responsibilities for Randstad Hong Kong remain unchanged, and she will report to Gao in her new role.

Commenting on her their roles, Gao said, “As a result of major digital disruption and globalisation, the China economy has grown tremendously over the past decade. This has not just brought in more investments and companies to expand their footprint into Asia’s economic powerhouse, it has also created more new and sophisticated jobs for our local workforce. I’m very excited to extend my experience and knowledge from China to Hong Kong, where we will continue to grow the Randstad brand together.”

Apart from Gao and Sun’s promotion, this change has also opened up new opportunities for other leaders at the recruitment agency.

Helen Luo, HR director at Randstad China has extended her remit to lead the HR function for the Greater China region, and will continue to be based in Shanghai.
