Is gamification the future of learning?

Immersive gamification and simulation software company, KNOLSKAPE, continues to demonstrate its support for the HR community in Asia by signing up as a sponsor of Training & Development Asia, the region’s only learning and development conference for HR leaders and senior L&D specialists.

Training & Development Asia 2016 is a two-day regional conference for HR managers and senior learning & development specialists which will take place in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in June.

KNOLSKAPE will lead a session will give attendees a look into the future of learning, whereby participants will experience first-hand a live gamified simulation where they interact with peers to beat others in the room in a safe learning environment.

The session will also demonstrate better leadership behaviours which drive performance outcomes and give delegates a window into how gamification can be part of corporate learning strategy.

“The end has come to dinosaur approaches to leadership development,” said Kulwant Bardh, chief executive officer of KNOLSKAPE.

“Latest research in Neurosciences is shedding new light on learning pathways.”

Bardh added that Knolskape recognised this trend eight years ago when embarking on the core belief of putting the learner in the centre and belief in “learning by doing” and “learning by experience” in a simulated environment.

Bardh has nearly 30 years experience in various industries and was formerly managing director Asia for a public listed global strategy and technology consulting firm and was based in the US for two years. He was also APAC business leader for HR transformation at Mercer where he was also lead faculty for leadership development.

Bardh’s most recent two roles were as P&L head and director of the talent practices at DDI and Aon Hewitt respectively. Bardh is a former military officer who speaks five Asian languages and has work stints in many Asian cities.
