IDA, Maybank, Sino Group shine at graduate recruitment

Want to perfect the art of graduate recruitment? Look no further than the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and Citi Singapore.

The two companies won gold for the category of Best Graduate Programme at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, Singapore.

Asia Recruitment Awards, held for the second consecutive year, are the region’s premier awards for recognising and rewarding excellence in recruitment, across in-house recruitment teams as well as recruitment agencies, held in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

Silver in the category was shared by PUB, the national water agency, and Deloitte & Touche.

Seah Gek Choo, Deloitte Singapore’s Talent Partner said it is important for organisations to continuously invest in their people offering them access to the opportunities to do their best work and succeed.

“The awards has given us a good reason to celebrate. It has also served as a motivation for us to continue to inspire our people to deliver outstanding work by providing an exceptional career experience in an inclusive and collaborative culture” she stated.

Parkway Pantai took home the bronze trophy, at the awards held on April 13, 2016 in Singapore.

The Hong Kong edition of the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 was held on April 7, 2016, which saw Sino Group and Telstra International sweeping away the gold award for this category.

‘We are honoured by the recognition bestowed upon us,’ said Alice Ip, executive director of Sino Group.

"This is a testament to our continuous efforts in creating an engaging environment for our people.  We strive to make the Group the preferred choice for our employees, and will to continue to foster an engaging and rewarding working environment through effective employee engagement strategy and implementation."

Consulting firm EY won the silver trophy, with the bronze handed to DBS Bank (Hong Kong) for having the best graduate recruitment programme.

All entries submitted were judged by a pool of more than 60 senior HR practitioners from the corporate and public sector across Asia. For this category, the judges looked for campaigns that were innovative, functional and, ultimately, productive.

In Malaysia, Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 saw British American Tobacco being crowned as the gold winner for its graduate recruitment programme.

Maybank took the stage to take home the silver award, while Alliance Bank and Nestlé tied for a bronze.
