HR practitioner appointments

Norman Nicholas heads up RHB Bank's talent acquisition teamNorman Nicholas has joined RHB Bank as head talent acquisition and manpower planning. He took up his new role in November and reports to the chief HR officer. His main responsibilities are strengthening the RHB brand from a recruitment standpoint, revamping and executing recruitment across the group, including internship and management associates, and to manage efficiency in recruitment support.

Nicholas' previous employers include Citibank and Kelly Services, where he worked for over nine years. Most recently, he was AVP recruitment at Citibank Malaysia. Nicholas will continue to be based in Malaysia.

GEA appoints Jillian Lim as head of APAC HRJillian Lim took up her new role as head of APAC HR at GEA Group in November. Lim is a strategic, analytical and result-driven human resources professional with more than 15 years’ expertise in general HR, shared services, and a specialisation in learning, organisation development, talent management and talent acquisition roles. Most recently, she was head of employee services APAC at Atos IT Solutions and Services. She will continue to be based in Singapore.

Asia Miles welcomes Willie Cheng as new head of peopleWillie Cheng has joined Asia Miles starting in December as head of people. Cheng brings with him more than 16 years of HR experience. His previous employers include Swire and Cathay Pacific, where he worked for over a decade. He is based Hong Kong. Read more.

Essilor welcomes Thomas Wai as director organisational developmentThomas Wai has joined Essilor as director organisational development. He took up his new role in December. He is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing strategic HR programmes aimed at increasing organisational effectiveness, strengthening management and workforce knowledge & capabilities, improving leadership and maintaining the overall organisational health within the Asia Pacific and wider AMERA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Russia, Africa) geographical scope. He will continue to be based in Singapore.

Priscilla Chen is promoted to senior HR recruiter, Asia and MEAFranklin Templeton Investments has promoted Priscilla Chen to senior HR recruiter, Asia & MEA. Chen took up her new role starting in December. She joined the company in 2015 as HR recruiter, SEA. In her new role Chen oversees the recruitment for APAC & MEA countries working in partnership with the global client partnering country managers and consultants to meet the hiring leaders’ recruitment needs. She has six years of recruitment experience and is based in Singapore.

Dole Asia welcomes Agatha Goh to its HR teamAgatha Goh has joined Dole Asia as associate director human resources. She took up her role in October. Goh brings with her almost 20 years of experience in the HR field. Prior to joining Dole Asia, she held the dual role of regional HR business partner and APAC and Singapore HR manager at Syngenta Asia Pacific. She is based in Singapore.

Vaishali Mathur joins the C&B team at Synchronoss TechnologiesSynchronoss Technologies welcomed Vaishali Mathur to its compensation & benefits team in November. She brings with her over five years of experience in the C&B field in India. Most recently Mathur was assistant manager payroll, C&B, compliance, and total rewards at EasOfTech Solution. She continues to be based in India.

HR solutions provider appointments

Oracle promotes Rupal Khole to principal recruiterOracle has promoted Rupal Khole to principal recruiter starting in December. Khole has 16 years of recruitment experience and has been with the company since 2011 when she joined as a senior recruiter. She acts as a trusted advisor for talent acquisition for ASEAN at Oracle and is responsible for supporting the ASEAN leadership team in their recruitment strategy. She will continue to be based in Singapore.

FOS Search promotes Michelle Ng to head of talent sourcing centreMichelle Ng is now head of talent sourcing centre after having been promoted this December. In her new role, she determines the day-to-day workflow, implements established monitoring mechanisms and ensures that daily standards are being completed to meet the needs and agreed upon service standards. Ng has over six years of experience in the recruitment industry. She continues to be based in Malaysia.

Christopher Brock joins FOS SearchChristopher Brock has joined FOS Search as managing consultant starting this December. He is responsible for actively developing new business and maintaining relationships with key clients along with continually seeking and identifying areas for business growth. Additionally he assists junior members of the team with CV marketing strategy and implementation. Brock brings with him nine years of recruitment experience. He will continue to be based in Malaysia.

FOS Search promotes Nina KasmalNina Kasmal has been promoted to SEA senior talent sourcing specialist as of December. She has been with the company since 2015 when she joined as SEA talent acquisition partner. Kasmal has ten years of experience in the HR industry. She will continue to be based in Malaysia.

Joshua Woo joins Accredit as operations directorJoshua Woo joined Accredit HR Consultancy in November as operations director. He begin his HR career in 2007 as a recruiter at Kelly Services and worked his way up the ranks. Woo plays a key role in building client relationships, and has experience performing front-line, on-site management, and business development functions across a wide spectrum of industries. He is based in Singapore.

CEB promotes Jashree MedepalliCEB has promoted Jashree Medepalli from senior project support specialist to project consultant. She has been with the company since 2013 when she joined as a client and professional services executive in Singapore. She holds a certificate in human resources management from the University of Toronto and has obtained knowledge in recruitment, employee relations, training and development and general human resources roles along with experience within global corporate environments. Her new role is based in Toronto.

Rushit Shah is associate director at The EdgeRushit Shah has joined The Edge in Asia as associate director, industrial, staring in December. He is the market leader for the The Edge Industrial Practice based in the firm's Singapore office. Rushit's primary focus is to identify top manufacturing/engineering, supply chain and procurement professionals for within industrial and aerospace within Asia. Prior to joining The Edge, he was head of industrial and medical equipment at Proco Global. He continues to be based in Singapore.

International Coach Federation appoints Grace Thomas as voluntary branch presidentGrace Thomas has been appointed the voluntary role of Victorian branch president of the International Coach Federation (ICF) as of December. Thomas has nearly 40 years of experience in the HR industry, and is an expert executive and leadership coach, leadership team effectiveness adviser and personal brand master strategist. Her previous employers include PwC. She is based in Australia.

Vancci Tang joins PwC as manager, advisory services - human resourcesVancci Tang took up her role at PwC in November. She will act as the HR business partner to advisory deals. Tang has nearly ten years of experience in the human resources field. Her previous employers include KPMG and Lenovo. Most recently, she was the human resources business partner as Rabobank International. She continues to be based in Hong Kong.

Terrence Tham joins Antal International as IT team managerTerrence Tham took up his new role at Antal International starting in December. As IT team manager, he is mainly responsible for client relationships, strategic partnerships, team management, as well as other operational functions. Prior to joining Antal International, Tham was a branch manager for Synergy Partners Search International. He will continue to be based in Shanghai.
