HR Practitioner Appointments

Fiona Yung is JLL's talent director, Asia PacificYung assumed the role in January 2017, moving from her previous role as leadership programmes manager/organisation and talent development manager, ASEAN at GE. In her new role, she will partner with HR and business leaders to strengthen the focus on talent, and to build a comprehensive talent management platform. Fiona began her career in her hometown of Sydney and relocated to Singapore 8 years ago. She has previously worked at Thomson Reuters and General Electric and has prior experience in recruitment, global mobility, business partnering, talent management and programme management. Estelle Darrigade joins the French Chamber of Commerce in SingaporeDarrigade joined the organisation effective January 2017 in the role of head of HR and recruitment, leaving her previous role as career consultant and executive coach in her own company Next Step HR Consulting. Darrigade will remain based in Singapore

Rohit Kumar leaves Sanofi to join Kellogg IndiaEffective January 2017, Kumar has joined Kellogg India in the role of director HR (CHRO), leaving his previous role as the director of business HR, pharma and consumer healthcare at Sanofi. In his current role, Kumar is responsible for heading the HR function for Kellogg India, tapping on his expertise in HR business partnering and various experiences in organisational effectiveness and change, as well as talent management and employee relations. He will be based in India.

Vikas Shetty has been promoted by Credit SuisseEffective January 2017, Shetty has moved up the ranks to assume the role of vice president - experienced talent acquisition, IB front office, asset management and private banking at Credit Suisse, from his previous role as AVP - APAC experienced talent acquisition, investment banking, capital markets and asset management Asia. In his current role, he is responsible in managing recruiting for the investment banking and capital markets businesses of Credit Suisse in APAC, as well as managing asset management and private banking recruitment in APAC. He will be based in Hong Kong.

Shankar Arumugam is Bestinet's head of human resourcesEffective January 2017, Arumugam joined the Bestinet in the role of head of human resources, moving from his previous role as human resources and admin manager at Yong Fong Rubber Industries. In his current role, he will be responsible in designing and implementing a HR structure to support the growth of the business and report directly into the board. He will be based in Malaysia.

Wan Ezrin Sazli Wan Zahari joins TIME dotComZahari joined TIME dotCom in the role of chief people officer, effective January 2017.  Zahari joins TIME dotCom from his previous role as the head of people at AirAsia & AirAsia X where he was accountable for various people functions. He will be based in Malaysia. A graduate of the University College London, Zahari has worked with DiGi Telecommunications, Petronas, Weatherford and Mouchel.

Essilor appoints Jeremy Ong as global talent managerIn his new role, Ong will be reporting to Eveline Noya global vice president executive career / talent management, Essilor. Ong joined Essilor from Huntsman Corporation where he held the role of global HR lead. In his new role, Ong will support the development of Essilor's talent management function with the broader talent management teams (regionally and locally) to drive development and implementation of Essilor’s global talent strategy, and to enable the building of sustainable people capability by defining key processes related to selection, mobility and development of our talents.

Deanna Yap is the director, people & organisation operational projects at DKSHAfter a function rename of HR to “people & organisation”, Deanna takes on the new title of people & organisation operational Projects at DKSH, effective January 2017. Her previous title was director, group human resources operational projects. She has been with the company since 2011 in the role of head of human resources & communications at DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center and prior to her current role, general manager, talent, organisation & performance at DKSH Malaysia. She remains based in Malaysia.

Timothy Chia joins O-I as regional HR business partner APACChia took up the role in January 2017, moving from his previous role as director, HR business partner APAC at American Express. Prior to joining American Express in 2010 as HR business partner, Chia was a management consultant at aAdvantage Consulting Group. He is currently based in Singapore.

Nicole Schlaikier joins Herbert Smith FreehillsEffective January 2017, Schlaikier joined the company in the role of human resources manager, Greater China, from her previous role as group HR director at The Caravel Group. Schlaikier is a strategic HR professional with sixteen years' experience in Asia in professional services, financial services, and the maritime industry. She will be based in Hong Kong.

Balvinder Sodhi is a recruiter at FortinerSodhi joined Fortiner in January 2017, moving from his previous contract role with Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings where he was a talent mapping recruiter. In his current role, Sodhi's responsibilities include partnering with region leaders and hiring managers to identify core competencies, key performance indicators and sourcing activities in order to recruit the very best talents for Fortinet. He will be based in Malaysia.

Sheela Ramachandran is talent acquisition specialist at AmBank GroupRamachandran joined the bank in January 2017, moving from her previous role as senior talent acquisition specialist at EY. Prior to that, she worked for IBM Malaysia as a HR delivery analyst. In her new role, she will be based in Malaysia.

Philips Lighting welcomes Shruti MalhotraThe electronics company appointed Malhotra to the role of talent acquisition consultant effective January 2017. Prior to that Malhotra was working as a talent acquisition manager, retail leadership at Apple. She will be based in Singapore.

OSRAM has a new talent acquisition team lead for ChinaEffective January 2017, OSRAM appointed Chad Goh to the role of talent acquisition team lead for China. Prior to that, Goh was a senior APAC talent acquisition at Intel PSG where he was responsible for performing direct sourcing and end to end hiring from entry level to senior manager level for Asia PAC, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Malaysia. In his new role, he will be based in Malaysia.

Sally Lim is associate HR generalist at CitiEffective January 2017, Lim assumed the role at the financial services company, moving from her previous role as ASEAN HR operations leader, SG business HR partner, at IBM Global Services. A graduate of Nanyang Technological University, she first joined IBM Singapore as an intern in September 2010. In her current role, she will be based in Singapore.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Philippa Penfold leaves GroupM to join Infosys ConsultingPreviously the HR and talent director, APAC at GroupM, Penfold left the company in January 2017 to join Infosys Consulting in the role of senior HR manager. Penfold has been in the HR industry for almost 19 years and has worked across APAC in companies such as BHP Billiton, Mercer, and Royal Bank of Scotland Group. In her new role, she will be based in Singapore.

Michael Calman assumes a new role at CareerBuilder SingaporeCalman took up the role of director, human capital software solutions in January 2017. Calman was previously the director, solutions consultant at CareerBuilder Singapore, and was responsible for facilitating sales growth within CareerBuilder's human capital software solutions by providing pre-sales technical support and expertise to both the internal salesforce and external clients. He will be based in Singapore.

Florian Kittler is the senior vice president Asia Pacific at HVS Executive SearchKittler took up the role in December 2016, moving from his previous role as vice president of Comrise Consulting. Having worked for several of the global 5-Star chains including Shangri-La, Mandarin Oriental and Hyatt, Kittler brings to the executive search business a wealth of leadership experience in operational management. In his current role, he uses his extensive network and hospitality insights to deliver on senior management appointments with clients across Asia Pacific. He will be based in Hong Kong.

RGF promotes Hui Wen WooEffective January 2017, Woo was promoted by the company to the role of managing consultant - consumer markets. Woo is a specialist recruiter in the retail and luxury industry, where she consults with some of the top brands and talents in the region. In addition to recruiting for various roles in the retail, luxury and education industries, in her current role, she leads mid-to-senior level PR and communication hires across all industries. She will be based in Singapore.

May Wah Chan moves up the ranks at Michael PageHaving  first joined Michael Page International in 2011 as a consultant, Chan rapidly rose up the ranks to assume her current role as director (sales, marketing, digital and human resources), effective January 2017. Prior to that she was the associate director (sales, marketing, digital and human resources). In her new role, she will be based in Malaysia.

Grace Chung has been promoted by Nomura with Alexander Mann SolutionsChung was promoted in January 2017 to the role of principal resource specialist (Asia ex-Japan) at Nomura with Alexander Mann Solutions. Prior to that she was a regional recruiter (Asia ex-Japan) at Nomura with Alexander Mann Solutions, and was responsible for recruitment within corporate functions covering risk, audit, legal, compliance, corporate communication, and human resources. She will be based in Hong Kong.

Crest Force (M) welcomes Tim LiewLiew joined the company in January 2017 in the role of assistant recruitment manager, from his previous role as senior human resources specialist at Softline Group. In his current role, Liew is in charge of the commercial division recruiting for non-technical roles (HR, marketing, sales, administrative, finance, accounting), and is overseeing four recruitment consultants. He will be based in Malaysia.

Lai Mae has been promoted by Randstad Sourceright APAC Sourcing CentreLai was promoted by the company from the role of business partner for Capgemini to ASEAN Senior Talent Acquisition - Lenovo, effective January 2017. She is a specialist in contract/interim recruitment, permanent recruitment, as well as executive search and selection. She will be based in Malaysia.

Colliers International welcomes Samarth KasturiaIn January 2017, Kasturia joined the company as associate director - workplace strategy and consulting, office services, moving from his previous role as senior associate - consulting, workplace strategy at JLL, where he served as an embedded regional consultant for Shell Eastern Petroleum, amongst other large corporate clients. Based in Singapore, in his new role, he is responsible for setting up and running Colliers's Singapore and South East Asia workplace strategy consulting business.

Speaking to Human Resources Kasturia said: "My core focus is ensuring our corporate clients get the benefit of a people driven space solution, and to assist them in establishing a fit-to-function, vibrant and productive workplace."

Fhats Alhammoushc, M.A. has been promoted by EYEffective January 2017, Alhammoushc has been promoted to the role of HRBP assistant manager from her previous role as IT recruitment supervisor. Alhammoushc is a HR professional with almost 7 years of working experience in recruitment and other facets of HR. She will be based in the Philippines.

Dolores L joins Salt as recruiter - analytics and insightsEffective January 2017, L was appointed by Salt to the role of recruiter - analytics and insights. Prior to that she was a recruitment consultant - PR, marketing and communications at Chandler Macleod Group. L specialises in role types including account director (FMCG/consumer/tech), account managers (FMCG/consumer/tech), client service director/manager, corporate communications and more. She will be based in Singapore.

Andrew Morris takes up a new role at Adecco GroupMorris assumed the role of international sales account manager EMEA, effective January 2017, moving from his previous role as international sales account manager - Asia Pacific. In his current role, his responsibilities includes development of regional EMEA strategy, management at regional level of contract execution, RFP responses, re-bids, and pricing and contract negotiations. He will be based in Switzerland.

Hays promotes Samson HoEffective January 2017, Ho was promoted to the role of senior manager insurance, marketing, from his previous role as manager, insurance, marketing, specialising in recruiting marketing positions within the financial sector. Ho first joined the company in 2010 as associate consultant where he worked on the insurance recruitment team. In his current role, he will be based in Hong Kong.

Eunice Wong joins LinkedInWong joined the business oriented social networking company in January 2017 in the role of solutions consultant, talent solutions. Prior to that she was a business lead at Yahoo Asia Pacific where her responsibilities included meeting and exceeding individual half yearly sales target assigned, as well as developing and executing key advertiser acquisition, retention and development strategy for Singapore and regional markets. In her new role, Wong will be based in Singapore.

Kellie Grimsley joins Profile Talent Solutions as director - AsiaGrimsley took up the role in January 2017, moving from her previous role as director at AustCham Shanghai. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing a team focused on general managers and senior appointments, sales and marketing, contracts and finance, HR and support, operations and culinary, food and beverage, and more. She will be based in China.

Seok Hian Tang joins partnership in Aspen3Effective January 2017, Tang has taken up the role of principal consultant and director at Aspen3, a leadership development company for youth and corporate. Leading the management consulting business unit, Tang revealed to Human Resources that her top priorities for the next 6 months will be to help more start-ups in talent management. Prior to joining Aspen3, Tang was the head, talent management (SEA region) at Starcom Mediavest Group. As a consultant, coach and trainer, Tang specialises in talent management and organisation development drawing on her more than 16 years of HR and leadership experience. She will be based in Singapore.

KPISOFT appoints new CEODr Sandra Pereira has taken up the role effective 2 January 2017. A visionary business leader with over 15 years of corporate experience, combining deep expertise in organisational and individual performance improvement, Pereira will spearhead the firm’s leadership team to drive global adoption of KPISOFT’s solution and deliver value at scale to a variety of clients along their tagline “Helping companies to perform better. Appointments by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

TCS appoints Rajesh Gopinathan as chief executive officerThe IT services, consulting and business solutions firm, announced on 13 January that Rajesh Gopinathan has been appointed as chief executive officer and managing director. Gopinathan will take over from N Chandrasekaran, who has been appointed as the chairman of Tata Sons, effective February 21, 2017. Gopinathan started his professional career with Tata Consultancy Services in 2001 and was appointed as chief financial officer of the company in February 2013. Prior to becoming the CFO, Rajesh was the vice president - business finance. In his new role, he will be based in Singapore.

N G Subramaniam has been appointed by TCS as chief operating officerTCS has also named N Ganapathy Subramaniam, (NGS) who is currently president, TCS Financial Solutions, as the president and chief operating officer and appointed him as a director on the board of the company. Subramaniam has been part of TCS and the Indian IT Industry for the past 34 years and has had opportunities to perform a variety of roles in delivering solutions to customers globally, especially in the banking and financial services sector. In his new role, he will be based in Singapore.
