HR practitioner appointments

Zurina Mohd Noor expands her job scope at TechnipFMCJoining the global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services in 2013 as learning and development manager, Zurina was promoted to head of HR and communications (Asiaflex Product), in 2014. As of January 2017, she takes up an additional responsibility as regional HRBP (Global Product). In her new role, Zurina will be based in Malaysia.

Nur Fathihah Mohd Jamel joins UEM Sunrise Fathihah joined the organisation in March 2017, in the role of assistant manager, industrial relations and governance, moving from her previous role as senior executive, employee and industrial relations at Sime Darby Holdings. In her new role, she will be based in Malaysia.

TIME dotCom welcomes Intan Suhara Zulkifli to its HR teamIntan joined the Malaysian telecommunications provider in February 2017 in the role of performance and talent management, moving from her previous role as assistant manager, Shapadu Energy & Engineering. Prior to that, she was in the role of executive, organisation development at Sime Darby. Intan will remain based in Malaysia.

David Hew moves to Eaton from Spring ProfessionalBased in Singapore, Hew joined the power management company in March, taking up the role of senior talent acquisition consultant. Prior to this appointment, Hew was with Spring Professional for a year - first joining in April 2016 as consultant - technical sales and marketing, before being promoted to senior consultant in January 2017.

In a conversation with Human Resources, Hew revealed his three top priorities for the first year in his new role.

His first priority is to "understand and internalise Eaton's various business lines and operations throughout the region."

Secondly, he aims to "create a rapport and understanding with the various Eaton line managers and local HR business partners."

Last but not least, he looks to "establish a panel of recruitment partners in each country."

Lam Soon Singapore welcomes Amanda Mak to its HR teamMak joined the FMCG company in March 2017, taking up the role of human resource assistant, moving from her previous role as human resource associate (talent management) at ST Electronics. Prior to that, she was an assistant projects executive at SAFRA National Service Association. In her new role, she will remain based in Singapore.

New appointments at HSBC

HSBC promotes Melody Ng to manager for learning and talentEffective March 2017, Ng was promoted from the role of assistant manager, talent, to manager, learning and talent. She joined the bank back in February 2015 in the role of assistant manager, recruitment. Prior to that, Ng was with Accenture for about two years, first joining as a campus recruiter before being promoted to the role of operating group and global group recruiter. She will remain based in Malaysia.

Lauren (Zervos) Pincott joins HSBC's HR teamBased in Hong Kong, Pincott joined the bank in March 2017 in the role of employee communications manager, global functions and HOST, moving from her previous role as senior manager, global marketing & business development at Racepoint Global. Prior to that she was a consultant at Prospect Resourcing (Asia).

National Australia Bank welcomes Leslie Raymond to lead HR for its Asia businessRaymond has been appointed head of people, Asia in National Australia Bank (NAB) and commenced her role on 1 March 2017. She is based in NAB’s Hong Kong branch and replaces Kate Colley who has repatriated to Melbourne to assume the role of head of people for NAB’s Corporate and Institutional Banking business. Raymond joins NAB from Air New Zealand where she was human resources director, Asia for the past 2 years, based in Shanghai. In that role she was responsible for to ensuring that the organisation’s HR strategy was aligned with overall business strategy and growth.

Winslow Ip is talent acquisition manager at Fortune Pharmacal Co.Ip joined the Pharmaceutical company in January 2017, in the role of talent acquisition manager, moving from his previous role as human resources manager at General Mills. Prior to that, he was with SATS for about five years, first joining as an executive, human resources, in August 2011, before being promoted from human capital manager in January 2015. In his new role, Ip will be based in Hong Kong.

HR solutions provider appointments

IBM promotes Nitin Vohra to lead employee compensation transformationVohra joined the American technology company in August 2010 as a recruitment delivery lead based in India. Since then he has moved up the ranks, relocating to Malaysia when he took up the role of Asia Pacific compensation leader in 2014. In February 2017, he was again promoted by IBM, from Asia Pacific HR transformation leader (a role he took up in January 2016), to the role of global employee compensation transformation leader. In this new role, he will be based in Malaysia.

Ruth Lee is promoted by AIAEffective March 2017, Lee was promoted by the pan-Asian life insurance group to the role of manager, performance and rewards, from her previous role as assistant manager, performance and rewards. Prior to that she was in the role of senior associate, performance and rewards. Before joining AIA, Lee was with NCS Group as the firm's senior consultant, human resources. In her new role, Lee will remain based in Malaysia.

RGF promotes Cyndi Chin to senior consultant, healthcare and life sciencesPrior to this appointment, Chin was a consultant at the recruiting and information service company. Chin has more than five years of executive search experience where she has a proven track record in delivering mid to senior management level searches across various technical functions which includes quality, engineering and manufacturing for clients within the pharmaceutical, life science and medical devices industries. Chin started her career as a lab technician in a medical devices company before joining the recruitment industry. She is based in Singapore.

Adzlan Zakaria takes on added responsibilities at Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN)Joining the insurance company as deputy manager, reward, in September 2011, Adzlan rose up the ranks, taking up the role of senior manager, performance, reward and systems at the company in April 2016. More recently in January 2017, he took up the added responsibility of IR and HR governance, as the senior manager performance, reward, system, IR and HR governance. In his new role, Adzlan will be based in Malaysia.

Allen Sam joins Prudential Assurance from Marsh & McLennan CompaniesBased in Malaysia, Sam joined the insurance firm in January 2017 in the role of business Resilience consultant, moving from his role as business resilience consultant at Marsh & McLennan Companies. Prior to that, he was the AVP, group business continuity management, at Banking Group.

Chloe Chan is promoted by Talent Corporation Malaysia (TalentCorp)Fresh out of school with a bachelor's degree in international business from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, in 2013, Chan joined TalentCorp as an executive. She quickly moved up the ranks, and most recently in March 2017, she was promoted to the role of assistant manager, graduate and emerging talent. In her new role, Chan will remain based in Malaysia.

Kelly Services welcomes Syra Shan to its consultant teamSyra joined the recruitment agency in January 2017 in the role of senior recruitment consultant. Prior to that, she was a recruitment consultant at Capita Global (outsourcing), joining the company as a fresh graduate with a bachelor of business administration, human resources management/personnel administration from Multimedia University. In her new role, Syra will be based in Malaysia.

Murtiraoo Soorianarayanan takes up the role of learning and development managerSoorianarayanan joined Conduent in January 2017 in the role of learning and development manager, moving from his previous role as learning and development manager at Xerox Business Services Malaysia. Prior to that, he was the learning administration team leader at Affiliated Computer Services. In his new role, Soorianarayanan will be based in Malaysia.

Agensi Pekerjaan Inter Island welcomes Jack Lim to its recruitment teamBased in Malaysia, Lim joined the company in February 2017, taking up the role of business development recruiter. In his new role, Lim's responsibilities include overseeing the Johor branch office to ensure that the team hits the weekly and monthly KPI, developing the business plan in the Johor branch, conducting training and SOP for new staff, and more. Before this, he was the recruitment consultant/ business development at Inter Island.

Curt Cui moves from Mercer to Cigna Health Benefits Effective March 2017, Cui joined the global health services company as their sales director, moving from his previous role as senior associate director at Mercer. Prior to that, he was the director of business development - China at Hospitality Marketing Concepts. In his new role, he will be based in Shanghai, China.

Macdonald & Company welcomes Charlotte Nolan to its teamBased in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Nolan joined international property recruitment consultancy in March 2017, moving from her previous role as divisional manager - baking and financial services at Ambition (Asia), where she was based in Malaysia. Prior to that, Nolan was the onsite account manager at Experis UK and Ireland, based in London.

Appointments in Chandler MacleodStarting from March 2017, Eric Cheng (general manager – corporate) was appointed to take up finance and accounting team on top of his current HR team and IT team. Jane Lam was transferred to be the team leader of finance and accounting team, while Josephine Lee (previously from Michael Page) will be joining the HR team as senior consultant in April.
