Up the ranks

Gammon Construction calls on Jenny Pong as human resources director
In August, Jenny Pong was appointed as director of human resources. She is in charge of human resources and corporate communications in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Pong has more than 20 years of experience in HR in various industries including management, consulting, airline and financial services. Prior to Gammon, she was the group director of human resources at JTH Group for six years.

HR practitioner appointments

Louise Yeung takes up a more specialised role at Langham Hospitality Group
Effective September 2019, Louise Yeung is promoted from human resources manager to talent acquisition manager. Yeung joined Langham as an assistant HR manager in 2015 and has moved up the ranks to HR manager in less than three years. She also holds a master of science degree in strategic human resources management from Hong Kong Baptist University.

Swarovski appoints Wendy Man as HR manager
Effective July 2019, Wendy Man is Swaroski’s HR manager, responsible for global functions and operations in Hong Kong.

She previously served as human resources business partner for more than a year at Wyeth Nutrition Hong Kong, where she oversaw HR functions locally and regionally, provided consultation and solutions, and led several business excellence projects regarding change management.

Parfums Christian Dior welcomes Katherine Lau as assistant HR manager
As of June 2019, Katherine Lau joined Parfums Christian Dior as assistant HR manager. She previously worked at Unilever as talent advisor for a year and spent four years at L’Oreal working her way up the ranks from human resources intern to talent acquisition specialist.

Antonia Chan joins Kondai as senior human resources officer
Antonia Chan started working as senior human resources officer at a cosmetics packaging manufacturer Kondai in March. Prior to this role, she was a talent acquisition specialist at Manpower Services.

HR solutions providers appointments

Recruit Express promotes Vanessa Leung to senior human resources business partner
Vanessa Leung was promoted to senior human resources business partner by Recruit Express in July. In her earlier role as human resources business partner, she assisted in campus recruitment, internal recruitment process, onboarding new hires and organised internal events. Leung began her career in human resources as executive search consultant at SearchAsia Consulting in 2018.

Randstad promotes Annie Wu to consultant
Effective September 2019, Annie Wu is promoted from associate consultant to consultant. She will continue to work in recruitment among human resources and business support areas. Wu joined the recruitment agency in 2018, soon after graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
