HR practitioner appointments

Ophélie Valentin joins PAGWith 10 years of experience in human resources, Ophélie Valentin joins PAG as its newest vice president, human capital. She is recognised for the high-level of service delivery, intergrity and commitment to her job. Previously with Alexander Mann Solutions for close to five years as its client services manager, where she was co-running the set up and organisation of its IB Accelerated Career Programme. Based in Hong Kong, Valentin has worked with other big names such as Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and more.

Wisers Information welcomes group HR & admin directorJoining Wisers Information in August 2017 as its group HR & admin director, John Li is a human resources professional that comes with an extensive HR generalist experiences from different industries including IT, consumer brands, FMCG, public services, high tech, manufacturing and professional lighting. Prior to this, he has worked with Zumtobel Group, Samsung Electronics, Crystal Group, and more. He is currently based in Hong Kong.

The Dairy Farm Group promotes head of human resourcesJoining The Dairy Farm Group in July 2015, Eunice Leung was previously its regional human resources manager (group health and beauty). However, in Aug 2017, she has been promoted to its head of human resources (Guardian Singapore). Prior to this, she was the human resources assistant manager at Jardin Cycle & Carriage where she worked for more than three years. There, she strengthened her HR knowledge in talent acquisition and management , training and development, as well as C&B within the Jardine Matheson Group. She is based in Singapore.

Hong Kong Exchange & Clearing welcomes recruiterJoining in Aug 2017, Sam Chang is the newly-appointed recruiter at Hong Kong Exchange & Clearing. The HKEX Group is one of the largest financial market operators in the world with its financial hub located in Hong Kong and an additional base in London. Previously, Chang was with Honeywell as recruiter from october 2016 to May 2017. Prior to that, he was a specialist recruiter at HSBC and recruitment specialist at Manulife. He is based in Hong Kong.

Hannah Murphy joins John Holland as resourcing advisor (SEA)Currently based in Singapore, Hannah Murphy joins as resourcing advisor (SEA) at John Holland - one of Australia’s leading engineering, contracting and service providers to the infrastructure, energy, resources and transport services sectors. Its parent company, CCCI, is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), which is listed on the Hong Kong (1800.HK) and Shanghai Stock Exchanges (601800SH). Prior to this, Murphy was with Cobalt Recruitment for close to two years as its recruitment consultant (real estate, construction & engineering).

Ian Jongho Im now head of talent at MoneySmart GroupMoneySmart Group welcomes new head of talent, Ian Jongho Im. Leading the talent and culture team at MoneySmart Group, he is devoted to serving its people by cultivating a work environment that is defined by a mission, cultural values, mutual trust and respect.  Joining the team because of its mission and purpose of providing the best possible employee experience that enhances organizational impact, the management team at the firm puts the importance of culture first. He is currently based in Singapore.

Royal Caribbean Cruises recruits Sheryl AbogaSheryl Aboga joins Royal Caribbean Cruises as its recruitment operations analysts in June 2017. Prior to that, she was the talent services lead at HSBC where she was responsible for making sure any gaps in performance or quality are quickly identified and addressed. Not only that, she was in charge of providing structure on the operations; ensuring work instructions are in place. Before that, she was a client recruitment specialist at AMEX via Allegis Global Solutions. She is currently based in the Philippines.

Linh Pham joins mStage as human resources recruitermStage welcomes Linh Pham as its human resources recruiter in June 2017. Based in Vietnam, she was previously working with education tech company, hasBrain, as its human resources executive. Other than that, Pham has worked with several other companies such as Embrace-It and Storm Creatives in Vietnam.

Santinee Balakrishnan now AVP at OCBC BankJoining OCBC Bank in June 2017 as its AVP (resourcing), Santinee Balakrishnan has a total of 4 years of recruitment experience, which kickstarted when she joined a Fortune 500 multinational corporation and a leader in the recruitment business at their Malaysian office in 2013 after finishing up with law school. She specialised in accounting and finance recruitment, working on various commercial and shared services projects which became key accounts for the organisation. She is currently based in Malaysia.

Rosewood Hong Kong appoints assistant director of human resourcesTimothy Lee joins Rosewood Hong Kong as its assistant director of human resources in Aug 2017. Prior to this, he was with Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong for close to four years where he held a similar position with the company. Lee brings with him close to seven years of experience in HR where he has worked with Plaza Premium Group as a training manager, and ICLP as an assistant training and quality assurance manager. He is currently based in Hong Kong

Sharon Lam joins Jefferies as human resources associateSharon Lam strengthens the team at Jefferies when she joined the company as a human resources associate in Aug 2017. She graduated the London School of Economic and Political Science with LLB, Bachelor of Laws in 2010. She then proceeded to work from King & Wood Mallesons as a human resources coordinator, where started her journey as a HR professional. Currently based in Hong Kong, she has also worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for more than two and a half years as its human resources executive.

HR solutions provider appointments

HR Millenium Consultancy promotes recruitment managerIn June 2017,  HR Millenium Consultancy has recently promoted Abdul Rahim to recruitment manager. Having been with the company since August 2016, Abdul started off as its recruitment specialist and was holding the title for nearly a year. HR Millennium Consultancy is a licensed one-stop recruitment agency which caters to companies seeking manpower solutions. Abdul was previously working with Blake Dair Consulting as a recruitment consultant and prior to that, with Attica under guest relations. He is currently based in Singapore.

Andy Ling joins Solomann Executive SearchSolomann Executive Search welcomes Andy Ling as its consulting business manager. Based in Malaysia, Ling specialises in the recruitment of senior leaders for the consumer industry. With a successful track record of making C-suite placements for Fortune 500 MNCs, GLCs, and large conglomerates, he previously worked with Korn Ferry, BTI Consultants and Entelechia Corporation before joining Solomann Executive Search. With its regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Solomann has expanded rapidly into other hubs including Malaysia, Shanghai and Singapore to provide a comprehensive range of services.

Arvin Raymund Ramos joins Drake InternationalDrake International has recently welcomed Arvin Raymund Ramos in June 2017. As Drake International-Philippines' national manager for sales and marketing, he reports directly to the company's CEO. His main priority is to take advantage of the sustainable economic growth in the Philippines by building and expanding presence in industries that have benefited immensely from this growth. These industries are not just concentrated in one or two cities but are fairly scattered in different cities, provinces and municipalities. Concretely, identifying opportunities, creating sustainable relationships, expanding online presence and tailor-fitting service delivery to current and future needs will be valuable in making this happen. He is currently based in the Philippines.

Tim Tsang promoted to senior manager at RandstadTim Tsang first joined Randstad Hong Kong in July 2013, where he started as its technology recruiter. Over the years, Tsang moved up the career ladder taking on bigger roles such as senior technology recruiter, technology team lead, manager and now - senior manager since Aug 2017. His current role sees Tsang lead up the rest of the market IT Division at Randstad, which currently comprises of 8 billing headcount. His specialities include helpdesk engineer, desktop engineer, server engineer, messaging consultants, and more. He is currently based in Hong Kong.

Michael Page promotes senior consultantChristopher Sung has recently been promoted to senior consultant at Michael Page, after two years in his last role as consultant. As the senior consultant within the human resources division at Michael Page Hong Kong, he specialises in recruiting all permanent positions in the commercial and professional services sectors across Hong Kong. Prior to this, Sung was a summer analyst (sales and research) at Bank of China International. He is currently based in Hong Kong.

Peter Wetsels promoted to senior associateAfter joining Korn Ferry in June 2012, Peter Wetsels has been recently promoted to senior associate in June 2017. In his current position, Wetsels manages senior level search assignments within the consumer industry, covering mainly FMCG, retail and food ingredients in APAC. In addition, he is also a member of Korn Ferry's HR Center of Expertise. He is currently based in Singapore.

Henry Pingol named chief operating officerAs the recently appointed COO of UFI, Henry Pingol reports directly to the president & CEO, and chairman and GM of the company and is in-charge of the whole operations of the company including all support units (human resources and admin, finance, purchasing, audit, treasury, commissary, sales and marketing, franchising, building and constructions, logistics and security). He was previously a radio program host for three years, and prior to that, a human resources senior manager at ADEC Innovations. He is currently based in the Philippines.

Shakif Chowdhury now senior research associateKorn Ferry International has recently promoted Shakif Chowdhury as its senior research associate in June 2017. Chowdhury was part of Hay Group as research associate (from Jan 2015), and before that, an applied research analyst for close to five years (since Jan 2013). He graduated from National University of Singapore in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Double Specialisation in Finance and Management. He is currently based in Singapore.
