ANZ has one of the best diversity and inclusion strategies in Asia. Not only did the banking group win the gold award at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, Singapore, shared with Deloitte & Touche, but it also emerged top in the category in Hong Kong.
Commenting on the win, Li-Ki Khaw, head of HRÂ at ANZ said, "is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the diversity of our customers. Therefore, how we source and place talent plays an important role. From a recruitment standpoint, we aim for 50:50 gender balance on our shortlists, ensure at least one female interviewer on interview panels, place a firm focus on Singaporean talent and embed evaluation techniques that increase the rigour on the selection process, at the same time-- minimise the opportunity for unconscious bias."
Held at the Shangri-La Hotel on April 13 in Singapore, the silver award was jointly presented to Cargill Asia Pacific and Maybank, in a glittering award ceremony, while Bloomberg came through to win the bronze trophy.
"We are proud that we are able to deliver a distinctive experience for the most sought after talent.  The award is a testament of our efforts and reaffirms our commitment to providing an environment where our people are able to excel and achieve their full potential," said Philip Yuen, Deloitte Singapore’s chief executive officer.
