Up the ranks: Standard Chartered appoints Nina Lee head of people capability

Effective from April, Nina Lee has secured the plum dual role of global head of people capability innovation & insights and regional head of people capability for Asia at Standard Chartered.

This promotion follows on from almost a year as the bank’s head of people capability for Greater China & North Asia.

Nina is a seasoned HR leader with global all-round experience in both corporate in-house as well as external management consulting. She comes from a diverse cultural background and is a strategic partner of C-suite to align people and organisational development strategy with corporate objectives.

Prior to her time at Standard Chartered, Nina was the Greater China regional BA for the BSH (Bosch/Siemens/Gaggenau) Home Appliance Group (2017–2020) and spent five years in Greater China human capital management consulting for Accenture (2012–2017).

Before this, Nina held regional learning roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, both based in Hong Kong.

She is also on the executive committee for the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and on the advisory board for Lingnan University – and holds a master’s degree in human resource management and training from the University of Leicester.
