Ditthawat Sopitarpapong Ph.D. has taken a new role as Head of Organisation Development and Transformation, Central Pattana Public Company, effective 1 April 2022. Based in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, he now reports to Akarin Phureesitr, the company's Chief People Officer.
Speaking to Human Resources Online, Ditthawat shared that his core responsibilities in this new role include being a key point of response in the development and delivery of an organisation-wide strategy, and planning for organisational development and transformation. "This role is accountable for ensuring the shape and structure of Central Pattana's People group continues to meet organisational needs. I will also lead strategies and plans for all people-related areas including performance management, rewards, talent management, L&D, communications and engagement, and health and wellbeing."
His number one priority for the coming year, he adds, is to develop the CPN's talent management cycle and succession plans.
Ditthawat was most recently Head of Business Partner and Corporate Management, FUJIFILM Thailand, where he was responsible for developing the company at high-performing organisational standards, overseeing operations and supervising human resources, digital transformation, legal and compliance, and organisation development.
Talking about the top talent challenge plaguing the industry today, he notes that the number of talent available today is limited. Thus, the challenge is to develop an in-house talent pool and find external talent to keep up with the pace of business rapid changes, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
