Thailand secures new Cabinet effective September 2024

Newly-appointed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra's Cabinet sees Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn retaining his post as Minister of Labour.

Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn has endorsed a new Cabinet formed by newly-appointed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, effective 4 September 2024 (Wednesday).

Published in the Thai Royal Gazette, the new Cabinet includes 12 new faces in the 36-member line-up, according to Reuters

Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn continues to hold his seat as Minister of Labour. As detailed in the Gazette, and with reference from Bangkok Postthe new line-up is as follows:

  1. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense: Phumtham Wechayachai
  2. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport: Suriya Juangroongruangkit
  3. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs: Anutin Charnvirakul
  4. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy: Pirapan Salirathavibhaga
  5. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance: Pichai Chunhavajira
  6. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society: Prasert Jantararuangtong
  7. Minister in the Prime Minister's Office: Chousak Sirinil

  9. Deputy Minister of Defense: General Natthapon Nakpanich
