Staff want more than just cash benefits

Cash may still be king, but for 66% of executives, better career progression opportunities are a bigger driver behind making a job switch,  a study on Singapore in 2013 found.

This trend is also echoed in Malaysia, where 19.1% of professionals who participated in a survey earlier this year indicated “advancement opportunities” as the most important determinant of current workplace satisfaction.

However, despite the high level of importance Malaysian professionals place upon development opportunities, most respondents indicated that was the area they were least satisfied with.
