Ramadan update: Operating hours for passport issuing offices in Malaysia

Operating hours will now end at 4:30pm on weekdays, with the exception of six offices which will close at 12:30pm on Fridays.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) has updated the operating hours of its passport issuing offices and all UTC offices for the months of March-April Ramadan 2023.

Operating hours for the 20 passport issuing offices throughout the country will be 8:00am - 4:30pm every working day (with exceptions on Friday), and with the exception of Sabah and Sarawak, which will operate from 8:00am - 3:30pm.

There will be 14 offices operating on the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am to 12:30pm.

  1. Menara Ikhlas, Putrajaya
  2. Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur
  3. Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
  4. Shah Alam, Selangor
  5. Kelana Jaya, Selangor
  6. Kajang, Selangor
  7. Puchong, Selangor
  8. Kuala Selangor, Selangor
  9. Kuala Kubu, Selangor
  10. Ayer Keroh, Melaka
  11. Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang
  12. Taiping, Perak
  13. Teluk Intan, Perak
  14. Lumut, Perak 

The remaining six offices will operate on the following hours:

Sunday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Friday & Saturday: 8:00am to 12:30pm

  1. Setia Tropika, Johor
  2. Kulai, Johor
  3. Muar, Johor,
  4. Batu Pahat, Johor
  5. Kluang, Johor
  6. Kulim, Kedah

UTC operating hours for work days, and including weekends will be: 8:00am to 4:30pm.
