Pioneer Generation (PG) seniors (Pioneers) in Singapore will receive MediSave top-ups of S$300 to S$1,200 in mid-July 2026. More than 450,000 PG seniors have benefitted from these top-ups since the launch of the PG Package in 2014, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said on Tuesday (9 June 2026).
The top-ups are expected to amount to more than S$145mn.
MOF said the annual PG MediSave top-ups are provided in addition to the annual GST Voucher – MediSave top-ups for eligible Singaporeans aged 65 and above. Eligible Pioneers will receive their top-ups as follows:
| Year of birth | Pioneer Generation MediSave top-ups |
| Born before or in 1934 (age 92 and above) | S$1,200 |
| Born in 1935-1939 (age 87-91) | S$700 |
| Born in 1940-1944 (age 82-86) | S$500 |
| Born in 1945-1949 (age 77-81) | S$300 |
The Ministry shared that with these annual top-ups, older Pioneers born before or in 1934 will continue to see their MediShield Life premiums fully covered; while younger Pioneers born between 1935 and 1949 will have about two-thirds of their MediShield Life premiums covered.
Those who have registered their mobile numbers with Singpass before 1 June 2026 will receive an SMS by 15 June 2026, notifying them of the amount of top-up they are eligible for. The rest of the Pioneers will receive the notification letters by end-June 2026, the Ministry added.
