McDonald’s Singapore distributes 15,500 complimentary meals to food delivery riders

The distribution was executed in more than 140 McDonald’s restaurants across Singapore on 26 July (Tuesday).

To commemorate McDonald’s Singapore's inaugural Delivery Riders’ Day, on 26 July 2022 (Tuesday), the restaurant distributed 15,500 complimentary McDonald’s meals to food delivery riders.

Shared in a released statement, the initiative – to celebrate and appreciate food delivery riders for their hard work, commitment and contributions – was executed in more than 140 McDonald’s restaurants across Singapore. All food delivery riders who donned their uniform and visited a participating outlet between 2pm-5pm received menu items such as the Chicken McCrispy Salt+Pepper, and the Banana Pie.

Benjamin Boh, Managing Director, McDonald’s Singapore said: "As an early pioneer in the delivery business, we have become a brand with a key delivery presence in Singapore. We pride ourselves on delivering feel-good moments to our customers and are incredibly grateful to all food delivery riders in Singapore who support us in this delivery experience.

"We know that these past two years of the pandemic have been challenging for food delivery riders – and this is our way of saying thank you, we really appreciate the partnership of all riders."
