Special teams, high ambitions, rare talent: Winners of HR Excellence Awards 2026 – Malaysia

In an evening marked by camaraderie, progress, and teamwork, CIMB, Valiram, Great Eastern Takaful, Touch 'n Go, and IOI Corporation emerged among the big winners.

CIMB emerged as the overall winner at the HR Excellence Awards 2026 – Malaysia, earning the top honours from this year's jury members for its outstanding contributions to HR and workforce innovation.

The ASEAN bank celebrated its achievement alongside Malaysia’s leading HR teams and leaders at a gala dinner on 30 October at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, bringing together the people and organisations shaping the future of HR.

This year’s awards introduced three new categories: Excellence in AI-Enabled Workforce Transformation, Excellence in Performance Management Evolution, and Excellence in the Use of Generative AI for HR. These reflect the shifting priorities of Malaysia’s HR landscape, as organisations explore generative AI, technology-driven workforce transformation, and rethink how performance is managed and developed.

Through a range of categories, the HR Excellence Awards 2026 – Malaysia recognised organisations that are pushing boundaries in talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, workplace innovation, and more.
