HR teams cautioned against duplicate of MOM website

Singapore's Ministry of Manpower has put out an advisory, cautioning the public to only use  www.mom.gov.sg for all MOM-related information and transactions.

A fake MOM website has been identified as phishing for personal information and data – http://singaporevisastatus.com.

Here are some tips on how to identify such fake websites:

1. Fake websites may try to look official and mimic the official MOM website

The following are examples of some fake websites that MOM found:

2. Fake websites have similar but different URLs

Official MOM websites and eServices’ URLs will always contain “.mom.gov.sg”. For example:

Some fake websites that MOM found are:
These looked very similar to the official URL, but do not have “.mom.gov.sg”.

"We will continue to monitor for such fake websites and work to bring them down, and also work to keep the official MOM website unaffected and your data safe," said a statement by MOM.
