Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources has announced that it is ready to take over the processing of foreigners entering the country for work.
This process is currently handled by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As cited in a Bernama article shared on his Facebook page, Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran said while this is so, he will leave the final decision up to the Cabinet.
He also added that his ministry will make it a point to discuss this matter with the Ministry of Home Affairs, given that this was just a proposal.
Minister Kulasegaran made this announcement following earlier suggestions by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commissions's Chief Commissioner that this processing of foreign workers entering the country should be returned to the Ministry of Human Resources.
