HR practitioner appointments

OKLink appoints human resources directorPriscilla Lau joined OKLink as human resources director in February.  Prior to OKLink, Lau was the human resources director at HMV Media & Entertainment.

Lau had been serving in the HR sector since 2004, including 6 years of service at Gameloft in the USA as human resources manager. She is based in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Disneyland strengthens hiring teamHenry Lai joined Hong Kong Disneyland as senior recruiter, staffing at the beginning of the year.  His previous appointment was senior human resources consultant at Levin Human Captial Consulting Group.

Lai had been in the human resources sector since 1999.  He is based in Hong Kong.

Jackel Lam joins Genting Hong KongLam was appointed regional payroll manager of Genting Hong Kong in November 2016.  Prior to Genting, he served as HR manager at i-Admin Payroll & HR Services for nearly 10 years.  He is based in Hong Kong.

HKT strengthens recruitment teamPrinceton Wong was hired as assistant recruitment manager, group human resources at HKT in January.  He came over from Jardine OneSolution where he had served as a human resources consultant for more than six years.

Wong brings with him more than 9 years of experience in HR. He is based in Hong Kong.

FleishmanHillard promotes regional talent development leadYu Li who previously served as FleishmanHillard’s head of talent development for Greater China was promoted in February to regional talent development lead for the Asia Pacific region.

Li had been with the company for 12 years.  In her new role, she will be tasked to build FleishmanHillard’s talent in the region. She will also lead the region’s performance management; leadership development; and recognition, retention and rewards programs. She is based in China.

Longzhu Group promotes HR managerJessie Low was promoted HR & admin manager at Longzhu Group at the beginning of the year.  She joined the group in 2015 as a senior HR executive.  She is in charge of the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, payroll, compensation and benefits for the regional offices. She is based in Singapore.

Bangkok Bank welcomes new training headDevanandan Palmer Batumalai was appointed vice president, head of talent & learning at Bangkok Bank in February. He brings with him 12 years of IT experience with seven years in the learning & organisational development environment.

Prioir to Bangkok Bank, he was the senior manager, learning & organisational development at AmBank Group.  He is based in Malaysia.

HR solutions provider appointments

The Laurus Group appoints new executive directorSinan Atahan was appointed the role at the beginning of 2017.  He will be responsible for senior appointments within the financial services institutions and corporates. Previously, he set-up Spencer Ogden in Hong Kong, and managed specialist teams for Hays in Hong Kong, Japan and Ireland.

He has over 15 years experience in financial markets and executive search. He is based in Hong Kong.

BTS Singapore promotes managing directorManas Mainrai moved up from director to managing director at BTS Singapore in January.  He had been with the company since 2011, starting out as a consultant.  He is based in Singapore.

Worldpay enhances business development teamAfter nearly 10 years at CareerBuilder, Chris Welch had decided to move on.  He joined Worldpay as sales and business development in January. Previously, he was with CareerBuilder serving as vice president - talentstream technologies.  He is based in Singapore.

New Managing Director for DDI SingaporeDesmond Tan first joined DDI in 2002 as consulting director, he left in 2006 to join corporate HR and assumed a number of senior organisational development/talent management leadership roles in various MNCs, including Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling, Hitachi Data Systems, and Johnson Controls.

In 2015 he rejoined DDI as consulting director and was promoted in February 2017 to the managing director of Singapore, overlooking overlooking sales, marketing, operations and consulting services. He is based in Singapore.

Cecilia Chow Deasy joins CXA GroupChow was appointed regional consulting leader at CXA, she will be be part of CXA’s leadership team.

In her new role, she will sell all of CXA’s solutions, work on new innovations and teach consulting and client management skills at the CXA Academy.

Chow has over 20 years of experience in the consulting industry in Singapore, Shanghai and New York City. Prior to joining CXA, she worked at Mercer Marsh Benefits and Aon Hewitt in business development and consulting on health and benefits strategy, flexible benefits, total rewards, M&A and outsourcing as well as working with clients on retirement, talent and communications.

She is based in Singapore.

New partner at EY advisory servicesWai Keat Cheang joined EY advisory services as a partner in February.  Prior to EY, he had a long and successful career at Accenture where he served for more than 20 years as the managing director.  He is based in Singapore.

Promotions at RGFYoungAe Kim was promoted in February to senior consultant, technology.   Kim focuses on the IT industry and Japanese speaking roles, she has more than 11 years of recruitment experience.

Since Kim moved from Japan to Singapore in 2014, she has a track record in the placement of IT roles such as project manager, network engineer, IT helpdesk, office manager for start-up companies and many more.  Kim is based in Singapore.

Jorina Khoo was promoted in February to senior consultant, technology. Khoo started her recruitment career in 2014 where she focuses on mid to senior level permanent positions in the software application development sector across the commerce industry.

She has successfully placed candidates in roles such as application managers, software developers / engineers, mobile developers and software testers. She is based in Singapore.

Promotion at Kelly Search, MalaysiaPrince Jain was promoted to senior consultant (IT & FMCG) at Kelly Search, Malaysia in January.  He joined the company in 2015 as an IT consultant.  Prior to Kelly Search, he was an ICT associate manager with Randstad India before relocating to Malaysia.  He is currently based in Malaysia.

Max Bupa Health Insurance Company appoints new HR headSriharsha Achar was appointed director & chief human resources officer at Max Bupa Health Insurance Company in February.

He came over from Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company where he had served as chief people officer for more than seven years.   He brings with him over 17 years leadership experience in HR. He is based in India.

AXA hires new recruiterTracy Anne Sugay joined AXA as senior manager - talent acquisition in February.  Her last appointment was talent acquisition manager / HR business partner at Holcim. She had been in the recruitment industry since 2003.  She is based in the Philippines.

KNX promotes Beijing Office GMTerence Tian earned the promotion in January.  He had been with KNX since 2012, his previous position was director of talent management & leadership development.  He moved from Shanghai to Beijing for the new position.
