HR Practitioner Appointments

Sabu Raghavan moves up the ranks at Hilton to lead HR for SEA and IndiaTenured at Hilton Worldwide since 2011, across Maldives and Singapore, Raghavan is now senior director HR  for Southeast Asia and India, based in Singapore. He's a hospitality sector long-timer, having worked in HR roles at Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Six Senses Resorts and Spas, and Taj Hotels.

Robin Tan joins Singapore Technologies Engineering as AVP HRTan's new role with the aerospace engineering company, effective February 2016, is based in Singapore. He has worked in a number of HR roles previously, such as with Lenovo, InterContinental Hotls Group; and with HR service providers Taleo and Frontier e-HR.

AIDS Concern's Wendy Koo to lead corporate partnerships, alongside HRHong Kong-based AIDS concern as appointed the head of HR, Koo, to head corporate partnerships as well. She has been with the non-government charity organisation since 2014, and has previously worked in HR roles at Defond Group, Strix, and K11 Concepts, among others.

Veritas Technologies welcomes new CHRO, among other key leadership positionsGeorge Haddad is joining the Veritas leadership team as CHRO, based in Mountain View. He comes from Concentrix Corporation, and his past experience includes a 30-year career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Verisign. Mick Lopez has also been appointed as the firm's CFO. Read more

Amelia Murillo is promoted to VP of HR at Carlisle CompaniesDiversified manufacturer Carlisle Companies has advanced VP of finance and administration at Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, Murillo to the newly created position of VP of HR, based in Florida. Chris Koch, president and CEO, commented: "Amelia will lead our talent management and development initiatives, as well as partner with the divisions to drive HR related synergies... throughout Carlisle."

A.O. Smith Corporation promotes Shawn Schmonsky to VP HR roleHaving been with the water heater and boiler manufacturing firm since 2006, Schmonsky is now VP of HR for the water heaters businesses in North America, India, and Europe. He replaces Jane Sanford, who retired on March 1, 2016 after spending nearly 13 years with A.O. Smith.

Telenor Group bags Yasu Sato as SVP of digital capabilities, HRSato joins Telenor in Singapore to lead the human capital side of its digital transformation journey, and will be scaling the digital agenda in hiring, retaining, and developing digital talent globally. He was previously APAC regional head and director of HR at LinkedIn, as well as HR director at UBS.

Shalina Sabtu gets a higher position at Shell as HR managerA 20-year veteran of Shell, with roles first in IT then in HR, Sabtu has moved up from EORC HR account manager to HR manager of Shell Refining, moving from Kuala Lumpur to Negeri Sembilan. Within the firm she has previously had roles such as local HR services leader and LPG IT administrator.

Hooi Khoon Phor departs from Agilent Technologies, joins LumiledsHR leader for Agilent Technologies across Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, Hooi Khoon Phor has exited, effective March 13, 2016. While continuing to be based in Penang, he is now the HR director at Lumileds Malaysia, leading the firm's plants in Penang.

RS Components welcomes Glenn Pernes as recruitment partnerBased in the Philippines, Pernes' new role includes candidate interviewing, talent acquisition, market research, stakeholder management and ensuring a healthy talent pool for the trading brand of Electrocomponents. He has previously worked with Alexander Mann Solutions and Airbnb.

Ayana Angelyn Tai moves up at Flextronics to strategic sourcing roleTai is now senior manager of global strategic sourcing at the electronic manufacturer, having been promoted from regional talent acquisition manager for Asia. Her prior work experience spans London and currently Malaysia, having worked with Korn Ferry, TCD Synergy, and more.

Tele-Post Greenland finds a successor to the HR postThe provider of telecommunications, IT and postal services to Greenland has appointed Helena Rotvig Kristiansen as head of personnel, effective 1 April 2016, succeeding Karl-Henrik Simonsen. Kristiansen was in charge of HR at Royal Arctic Line since 2008, and will now focus on developing staff competence.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Shawn Wong is promoted at TBC HR ConsultingFrom senior recruitment consultant, Shawn Wong has been promoted to the role of assistant team lead, where his major priority is to expand his team, while based in Singapore. He has been with the firm for close to four years in his previous role.

Sam Malchinhvv moves up the ranks at Alpha Search ConsultantsAlpha Search Consultants has promoted Sam Malchinhvv to the role of senior business consultant, up from consultant and team leader, based in Beijing. He has been with the legal and finance search firm since 2014, and he is now leading a team of two consultants covering Greater China.

Josh Lim is consultant at job-referral portal ReferJobs.myIn this role, based in Selangor, Lim is overseeing UI/UX development, workflow, increasing job listings, as well as community and job seeker/referrer user base growth at ReferJobs.my. His past experience includes a stint as Facebook page coach at Likes Before Love.

Mollie Kohn moves to Singapore as APMEA CCO at Aon HewittPreviously the chief commercial officer for Pacific at Aon Hewitt, based in Sydney, Mollie Kohn is now senior partner and chief commercial officer for the APMEA region, moving to Singapore. She reports to APMEA CEO Stewart Fotheringham. Her priority this year is to strengthen Aon Hewitt’s ability to develop and deliver innovative people solutions to address relevant business drivers.

Employer branding firm TMP Worldwide appoints country manager, SingaporeHaving been with TMP Worldwide in an array of roles since June 2010, Emmanuelle Loye is now GM for the office based in Singapore. She will leverage more than a decade of employer branding, recruitment marketing and strategic sourcing experience, to drive innovation and performance in the way TMP Worldwide’s clients, across the APAC region, connect with top talent, she told Human Resources.

Mumbai-based HR intelligence firm WhiteCrow Research sees new BD appointmentBhakti Pavithran has joined WhiteCrow Research in business development, with key responsibilities in the revenue-driven role being to develop and execute a sales strategy consistent with organisational goals, for the firm which also has offices in Singapore, Australia and the UK.

Global marketing head Michael Gegg exits Korn Ferry Hay GroupMichael Gegg, who headed marketing globally for insight and services divisions at Korn Ferry Hay Group has left the firm, effective February 2016. During his four-year tenure, he was responsible for over US$7 million of closed sales, directly attributable to marketing in 2014 and 2015, among others.

Jardine OneSolution taps into Bosch Malaysia for Stefanie SawIT services provider Jardine One Solution has recruited the past country HR officer of Bosch Malaysia as HR executive, effective March 2016, based in Selangor. Saw's previous assignments include the role of engagement executive at Strengths Innovation Asia.

Loo Nian Cian moves from IBM to Experian Malaysia in recruitment roleJoining Experian (Malaysia) as talent acquisition partner, Loo moves over from her past role as recruiter at IBM Malaysia. Her prior experience includes the role of recruiter at BP Business Service Center Asia, and HR executive at Getronics Technology, both in Malaysia.

RBC Investor & Treasury Services elevates Kisha Raju to direct recruiterRecruitment process outsourcing and managed service provider Resource Solutions has promoted Raju from talent acquisition resourcer to direct recruiter, moving her from Cyberjaya to Kuala Lumpur. She has previously worked with Hewlett-Packard, Korean Airlines and HSBC, among others.

Belinda Ng joins Cegos APAC team to head business developmentThe ex business development director at Terrapinn Training, Ng has been appointed by learning tools provider Cegos Asia Pacific in the same job title, based in Singapore. Her prior experience includes BD work at Turbo Print, as well as HR roles at EPCOS and Infineon Technologies.

Randstad Sourceright names Lai Mae as senior onsite recruiterProvider of RPO, MSP and talent solutions Randstad Sourceright has bagged Mae, who was previously delivery consultant - IT recruitment specialist APAC at Networkers International. She's based in Kuala Lumpur, and has previously worked with JAC Recruitment and Kelly IT Resources.

Actuarial firm Milliman gets new leader for life insurance consulting teamFarzana Ismail will lead Milliman's new life insurance consulting team in Malaysia. She spent her career covering life insurance and family takaful, initially in Milliman's London office and more recently in Kuala Lumpur. She commented on the role: "We see a lot of potential to expand Milliman's footprint within Malaysia and to deepen the range of family takaful services that Milliman provides globally."

Deloitte Southeast Asia announces successor to the CEO rolePhilip Yuen, currently Deloitte Singapore's CEO, will succeed Chaly Mah as Deloitte Southeast Asia’s next CEO, effective 1 June 2016. Chaly will retire from Deloitte Southeast Asia at the end of Deloitte’s fiscal year on 31 May 2016. Said Yuen: "I am excited to be given this privilege to lead the firm into this next chapter and we will continue to make significant investments to develop our talent and services."

Sandhya Karpe moves from Temasek to Duke Corporate EducationJoining as executive consultant at Duke Corporate Education, Karpe brings forward prior experience as head of the Temasek Management Services Academy and as MD of custom programmes at The Wharton School. In her role effective MArch 2016, she continues to be based in Singapore.

New recruit at Accenture Consulting's New Delhi teamApaar Bhatnagar has joined Accenture Consulting in New Delhi as management consultant, part of the product operating group. Previously, he was the senior consultant for performance improvement at EY, in the IIC vertical of advisory services.

Executive search firm Salveson Stetson Group makes new hiresHR veteran Michael A. Biondolillo has been recruited as senior vice president in the firm’s Radnor, PA office, with the mandate to manage executive level search assignments for clients functions and industry sectors. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of HR for Henkel Corporation.

Fund management firm GIC gets new AVP, HR business partnerCorina Huang has joined GIC as the HR business partner to the public markets and risk management business, effective February 2016, based in Singapore. Prior to this, Huang has worked with Mercer, Sanford Rose Associates, and SearchWorks.

Prudential Financial appoints new VP and head HR of international businessesPreviously the VP of HR consulting, international at Prudential International Insurance, Anuraag Maini's new role sees him leading HR for international businesses at Prudential Financial, based in New Jersey. He has previously led HR at firms such as DLF Pramerica Life Insurance and Cargill India.
