Hang Lung Properties expands its HR teamThe firm has named Stephanie Wang as its senior officer, learning and development (talent development and leadership team). Working in Hong Kong, Wang's appointment was made effective from January of this year, and prior to this role, she was the senior human resources officer at The Excelsior Hotel Hong Kong.

Phia Boo joins Samsung Malaysia ElectronicsAs of April 2016, Phia Boo has taken on the title of training manager in the company, operating from Malaysia. She was also a training manager in her previous stint at Tupperware Brands, where she was in charge of identifying challenges faced by independent sales teams and developed training programs to overcome the issue.

Flex adds Desmond Nathan to its corporate directoryJoining the firm as its recruitment manager, global sourcing US, EMEA and SEA of April 2016, Nathan will be operating from Malaysia. His core responsibilities include partnering with business and human resource leaders to deliver strategic recruiting solutions that are designed to attract top executive level talent.

Pamela Geh is now a member of Mattel HR divisionMattel, Inc has named Pamela Geh as its manager of human resources, Southeast Asia as of April 2016. Based in Malaysia, Geh's previous role was at InQpharm, where she was the HR manager, talent acquisition.

Kimberly-Clark declares a new HR shared services leader, APACWorking from Malaysia, Stanley Alphans has been part of Kimberly-Clark's HR team since April 2016. His ex-designation was director, APAC HR shared services at AIG Shared Services, where he was responsible for the operations management of a multi-site (Malaysia & Philippines) 80 FTE HR contact center.

Freddie Wee moves to Lazada GroupPreviously working as a regional consultant at PeopleFirst Consulting, Wee is now a senior associate, recruitment at Lazada Group. His appointment was made effective from April 2016, and he operates from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for this role.

Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa sees a new director of human resourcesKuok Loong Wong has been welcomed by Shangri-La as its new director of human resources since April of this year. Wong was previously working under the same capacity at Golden Sands Resorts and has also been a corporate executive trainee at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. He is based in Malaysia.

Setyorini Rahayu to take on senior human resources role at Maybank IndonesiaMoving from Bank Internasional Indonesia, Rahayu is Maybank Indonesia's new head, business human capital CFS & CD. Her appointment was made effective on March this year, and she is based in Indonesia.

Modalku recruits Agnes Natalia BasriWorking as a talent executive in the company since April of this year, Basri is based in Indonesia. She was previously a senior research analyst at Egon Zehnder and has also worked in Unilever as a recruitment specialist.

Ricky Cheung moves to Two MacDonnell Road by Lanson PlaceBased in Hong Kong, Cheung is working under the capacity of assistant human resources manager at Two Macdonnell Road by Lanson Place. Before his appointment in April this year, he was working as a senior human resources officer at Zebra Strategic Outsource Solutions.

Johnson & Johnson's Sean Young changes rolesWorking from Singapore, Sean Young is now the firm's director total rewards, APAC consumer and country cluster lead India and SE Asia as of April this year. Previously, he was also working in the same company as total rewards director, APAX pharm sector and country cluster lead (India, Vietnam, Sinapore & Malaysia).

DKSH brings on board a new manager for group HRIS reporting and projectsAs of January 2016, Veni Santhara has been a part of DKSH's HR team. Based in Malaysia, she was previously in charge of employee engagement, strategic planning and stakeholder management at Astro (MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems).

Cindy Qian takes on the role of staffing specialist at DB SchenkerBased in China, Qian has, as of April 2016, joined DB Schenker and is representing the firm as a staffing specialist. She was working as a recruiter in Futurestep prior to this for a period of two years.

John Low is GSI (Malaysia)'s new organisational behavioural consultant, trainer, change management consultantAs part of GSI (Malaysia), Low has been involved in identifying the firm's current organisational climate since March 2016. He is also looking at designing, implementing and integrating a new company culture. Prior to this role, Low was a corporate trainer at Oxburgh Academy.

HKUST names Tanya Menzel as assistant director, career and professional development - experienced professionalsSince April 2016, Menzel has joined the corporate team at the The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Based in Hong Kong, she was previously the director and learning and development consultant at Speak.

New appointments at Mercer:

Mercer Malaysia appoints Hasham Esmail Piperdy as CEOPiperdy has recently joined Mercer to lead the Malaysian consulting business. Prior to joining Mercer, he was a director with Towers Watson. With close to 20 years international consulting experience, he has advised many leading organisations on all aspects of their human capital strategy.

Shai Ganu is now Asia business leader for Mercer’s talent businessEffective April, Ganu will be the partner responsible for leading Mercer’s talent business across Asia – covering both consulting and information solutions practices. The talent team comprises of more than 150 consultants who advise clients on issues relating to board and executive rewards, leadership, talent strategy, HR transformation and predictive analytics, among others.

Mercer's new analyst, talent consulting is Nicole LukBased in Hong Kong, Luk is handling the duties of an analyst, talent consulting since April 2016. Before moving onto Mercer, Luk was the business development associate at BPDS North Asia.

Allegis Talent2 introduces a new principal consultant, accounting and financeOperating from Shanghai City, China, Evelyn Zheng will take over the role of principal consultant, accounting and finance in the firm from April 2016. Prior to this role, Zheng was working in the same company under the title of senior consultant, accounting and finance.

Allen Lim moves to Austria from SingaporeSince January 2016, Lim has joined Centerline Management Consulting in Austria as its managing partner. His previous role was based in Singapore, where he led ConversationCircles as a conversation advocate.

Hilda Ng is currently a partner at Grace Blue WorldwideMoving over from Nakama Global, where she was head of advertising and branding, director, Singapore, Ng has joined Grace Blue Worldwide as a partner. Her appointment was made effective from April of this year, and she is based in Singapore.

Korn Ferry Futurestep gets a new associate, consumer practiceHaving joined Korn Ferry Futurestep in June 2015 as a talent and sourcing specialist, Charles Wu is now the firm's associate, consumer practice. His previous responsibilities included devising innovative recruitment and sourcing strategies to uncover strong talent. He is based in Hong Kong.

Karan Arora rises up the ranks at Korn Ferry Hay GroupPreviously a consultant at Korn Ferry Hay Group, Arora is a senior consultant with the company as of March 2016. Operating from Indonesia, he is currently working on projects to help clients implement their strategy and manage change.

Sepam welcomes a new recruiterAs of February 2016, Angus Chen has been managing online talent resourcing channels, job board advertising & resourcing systems at Sepam as its new recruiter. Based in China, Chen's previous role was a associate consultant at PeopleKey Consulting.

Poppy Sherwood relocates to New YorkOperating from New York, United States, Sherwood has now become Phaidon International's new learning and development associate. Right before this role, she was working in the same firm as its talent acquisition manager, APAC in Singapore.

Jonathan Chadwick has been elected to Cognizant's board of directorsAs of April 2016, Chadwick will also serve on the company's audit committee and has been determined by the board to be an "audit committee financial expert". Chadwick was most recently executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of VMware. He is based in the United States.

Willis Towers Watson announces a new head of talent rewards of Asia/ANZ and head of executive compensation Asia/ANZSince April 2016, Maggy has taken on the responsibilities of the company's new head of talent rewards of Asia/ANZ and head of executive compensation Asia/ANZ. Based in China, she was previously the managing director, executive compensation Asia Pacific at Towers Watson.
