HR Practitioner Appointments

Karen Schrasser is BNY Mellon's regional head of organisational development and talent APACBNY Mellon appoints Karen Schrasser as the firm's new regional head of organisational development and talent APAC effective from March 2016. With 15 years of HR experience, Schrasser has worked for renowned companies such as Westpac Bank and ABN AMRO. Based in Singapore, her most recent role was associate director of people and organisation at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Hyatt International Hotel Management (Beijing) welcomes Kyle LoEffective from March 2016, Kyle Lo will be the director of learning, China at Hyatt International Hotel Management (Beijing). Lo has worked in renowned hotels such as Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and most recently as the HR director of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong.

Chern Siow is FedEx Express's new APAC human resources development specialistFedEx Express has appointed Chern Siow as its new APAC human resources development specialist, effective from March 2016. Based in Malaysia, Siow moves to FedEx from his previous role at Top Glove where he was a senior executive for learning and development since May 2013.

Haziran Mohammad joins Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia As of March 2016, Haziran Mohammad has been appointed to the role of HR manager at Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia. With about 14 years of HR experience, Haziran previously worked at Hotel Sri Petaling where he was an HR manager responsible for developing and implementing the department’s strategies and plans as well as managing the department’s performance.

Foo Jiong Kit is Sime Darby's new senior executive of talent management (talent engagement)Sime Darby has appointed Foo Jiong Kit as its new senior executive of talent management (talent engagement), effective from January 2016. With about 5 years of HR experience, Foo left his role as senior analyst of talent and rewards at Towers Watson and returns to Sime Darby Berhard where he was previously a learning design and development executive.

Chris Wong re-joins InterContinental Hotels GroupThis month, InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Chris Wong to the role of human resources manager. This new role sees Wong relocating to Kuala Lumpur from Putra Jaya where she was a learning and development manager at Marriott International. Prior to that, Wong was a learning and development manager at InterContinental Hotels Group.

Kering appoints Béatrice Lazat as HR directorKering, the owner of luxury brands such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, has appointed Béatrice Lazat as its new human resources director, replacing Belén Essioux-Trujillo. Effective from 3 March 2016, Lazat will be responsible for developing Kering's HR policy in line with the group’s new strategy.

Dr. Andreas-Michael Giesa is InnoGames' new HR directorAs of 1 February 2016,  Dr. Andreas-Michael Giesa has been appointed to the role of human resources director for InnoGames. Dr. Giesa was previously the global HR director for Unify GmbH & Co. and was the business partner in the field of services, as well as head of HR region West & East, VP.

Ingegerd Engquist takes up new role at Bravida GroupBravida has appointed Ingegerd Engquist - currently the HR director of Holmen - to the role of HR head for the Bravida Group. This appointment will take effect from 2 May 2016. Engquist has extensive experience and has previously worked as HR manager at IFS, Electrolux, Holmen Paper. In her new role, she will be working to strengthen Bravida as an attractive employer among other things.

DKSH Vietnam promotes Hong Thieu to the role of resourcing & talent acquisition executiveWith effect from January 2016, Hong Thieu has been promoted to role of resourcing & talent acquisition executive from her previous role as role of resourcing & talent acquisition specialist. In this role she will remain based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Mylan Laboratories has a new assistant manager for talent acquisitionShilpa Dutta has been promoted by Mylan Laboratories Limited to the role of assistant manager for talent acquisition, as of March 2016. She was previously an HR executive for talent acquisition for five years. Prior to joining Mylan Laboratories, she held the role of senior consultant at Biojobz for two years.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Grant Thornton LLP has a new learning and development leadAnkit Jhamb has been appointed to the role of lead, learning and development, people and culture at Grant Thornton LLP. The appointment was effective from March 2016. Jhamb previously held the role of learning and development manager at KPMG India for four years.

Augustin Tan takes up a new role at Chandler Macleod GroupChandler Macleod Group has appointed Augustin Tan as a recruitment consultant effective from March 2016. In this new role, Tan is responsible for recruiting in the accounting and finance space for roles ranging from contracting to senior management. Tan was previously a recruitment consultant at FOS Search.

Spring Professional has a new principal consultant - accounting and financeSpring Professional has appointed Choon Weng Tan to the role of principal consultant - accounting and finance with effect from March 2016. In his new role, Tan specialises in the recruitment of mid to senior level finance, legal, tax, internal audit, corporate governance and treasury professionals across MNC’s, GLC’s and local companies in the region. He was previously a senior consultant - accounting, finance and professional services at EarthStream.

Mohd Faizuan Mohd Noh joins Randstad Sourceright APAC Sourcing CentreMohd Faizuan Mohd Noh has been appointed as Randstad Sourceright as a sourcing specalist. The appointment has taken effect since March 2016. In this new role, his responsiblilites include attracting and matching candidates with client companies across Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, he was an HR assistant at Deloitte Malaysia.

M.R Danial is RedRadar Recruits' new recruitment managerRedRedar Recruits has promoted M.R Danial as their new recruitment manager as of March 2016. In this new role, he will be responsible for managing two team leaders for permanent placemene/excutive search and outsourcing/contractual roles. Prior to this, M.R was a senior consultant at the company since May 2013.

Aims Select Sdn Bhd appoints a new senior recruiterHana Zainal has been appointed to the role of senior recruiter by Aims Select Sdn Bhd effective from February 2016. Hana previously held the role of senior executive, talent acquisition at Aegis Limited. In this new role, she will be recruiting for executive level to senior manager level roles from different industries.

Nova Choo joins TIMECONSULT as a senior recruitment consultantTIMECONSULT has appointed Nova Choo as their new senior recruitment consultant with effect from March 2016. Choo will remain based in Kuala Lumpur in this new role. Previously, Choo was with Capita Global Sdn Bhd (Capita Staffing & Search) in a similar role of senior recruitment consultant (unit head).

Janny Wong is Mikayla Hunt's new recruitment consultantEffective from March 2016, Janny Wong has joined Mikayla Hunt as a recruitment consultant. Wong was previously a recruiter at Peoplebank where her responsibilities included for advertising job positions through job boards, social media and the company website.
