HR practitioner appointments

Woodlands Transport Holdings welcomes HR headBobby Chiew was appointed head of human resources in September. He joined Woodlands Transport as a human resources consultant in December 2014. He has more than 20 years’ experience in labour relations, human resource management, workforce services and learning and development. He is based in Singapore.

Cipla names new chief talent officerIn September, Ashwani Dahiya took over from Vikram Bector as Cipla's chief talent officer .  He recently resigned as senior VP & group head (performance, reward & organisation development) at Reliance Industries, HR Katha reports. With over 20 years of experience across industries, Dahiya is known for innovation, creation of high-performance teams, impactful shareholder outcomes and employee advocacy. He is based in India.

Andy Poon joins Airport Authority Hong KongPoon picked up the role as senior manager, HR relationship management in June.  He came over from Telstra where he was the human resources director - North Asia and global compensation and benefits - Pacnet. He hes more than 20 years of experience in HR.  He is based in Hong Kong.

Standard Chartered Bank has new business partnerSusheel Sabnani joined the bank as its global reward manager/business partner - performance, reward and benefits advisory in September. He has more than 7 years of experience managing compensation in the financial sector.  Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, he was the executive director, APAC compensation & benefits at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He is based in Singapore.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club strengthens HR teamEric Lee was appointed people development support manager of the club in June.  Prior to the jockey club, Lee spent 8 years working in HR for the hospitality sector.  He last served as the human resources manager at Marriott International, Asia Pacific.  He is based in Hong Kong.

The Dairy Farm Group welcomes new C&B managerSiti Suryati joined the group as assistant manager, compensation & benefit in September. She has been working in HR since 2010, her last appointment was senior executive, compensation and benefits at Encorp. She is based in Malaysia.

Digi Telecommunications strengthens hiring teamKaren Lai was appointed talent acquisition & management of the company in September.  She came over from Eco World Development Group where she was the resourcing manage. Lai brings with her close to 10 years of experience in HR. She is based in Malaysia.

General Motors International promotes COE leadRituparna Dasgupta moved up to the role of regional leader, global talent and development COE with in September. In the new role, she will oversee the talent management, talent development, career development, change management and other related areas for all countries. She had been with General Motors since 2007 and was promoted from global talent & development, centre of excellence GM international operations. She is based in India.

Maxim's Group expands HR teamYan Wong was hired as assistant HR manager in September. She came over from Midland Realty where she was a senior HR officer. Wong started her career in HR in 2008. She is based in Hong Kong.

UBS welcomes new mobility adviserEileen Davidson joined UBS as their HR international mobility services adviser in September. She has specialised in the mobility sector since 2005, her previous appointment was  mobility customer service consultant at The Coca-Cola Company. She is based in Singapore.

Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts expands training teamRebecca Neoh joined Starwood as their learning & development specialist in September.  She came over from Red Hat Asia Pacific where she was the HR coordinator for learning & development.  She brings with her 6 years of experience in learning & development. She is based in Singapore.

China State Construction Engrg. Corp promotes workplace safety and health officerYi Kun Heng was promoted from workplace safety and health officer in September, after spending more than two years as an officer trainee. He comes from an engineering background, served as a engineering specialist at Seagate Technology before choosing to focus on workplace safety and health in 2014. He is based in Singapore.

Amazon welcomes L&D specialistAravind Rajagopalan was appointed senior specialist L&D in September. He has more than 10 years of experience in HR, his previous position was principal at Korn Ferry Hay Group. He is based in India.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Olivier Maitre founds AP Transition ManagementServing as co-founder and managing partner of  AP Transition Management, Maitre brings with him more than 20 years as regional head of HR worldwide and across industries including senior HR positions at Carlsberg Group and HSBC.  He founded the company in September. Prior to AP Transition Management, Maitre also served as founder and CEO at Thymus Consulting in 2014.  He is based in Hong Kong.

Li Li Kang expands role with RGFLi Li Kang has been promoted to director where she leads both the HR and general administration, and healthcare and life sciences practice teams. She has been with RGF since 2014, where she was promoted from associate director - HR practice and healthcare/life sciences practice. Kang has more than eight years of HR recruitment experience and 15 years of professional experience where she built successful teams that positively contributed to the growth of the business. She is based in Singapore.

Leadership appointments at FCM Travel Solutions Southeast AsiaThe business travel solution provider has appointed Carlo Bezoari as the director of sales, Southeast Asia in September. Bezoari will be responsible for leading the business development teams across the region. He joins FCM from Rosetta Stone, where he was responsible for the corporate sales division across EMEA.

Another major leadership change is the appointment of  Joanna Patterson as the director of account management, Southeast Asia which also came into effect in September. She joined from China Eastern Airlines, where she headed up the global corporate sales Department, with a special focus on international markets as well as assisting China Eastern in improving their corporate sales execution and process.

Both of them are based in Singapore.

Ho Kwok joins TEKsystems (Allegis Group)Kowk was appointed manager of TEKsystems in September. In his new role, he will lead the company's IT applications team. He has specialised in recruitment since 2012. Prior to joining TRKsystems, he was the senior consultant for technology recruitment at Aston Carter.  He will remain based in Hong Kong.

Xpand Group promotes client services directorJerry Sagmaquen was promoted to client services director, Asia in July. He has been with the group since 2015 and moved up from the role as practice director. Prior to joining Xpand, he had been working in the specialist recruitment space for more than 5 years and had worked with  digital and technology recruitment for both Singapore and Malaysia. He is based in Singapore.

S&P Global welcomes recruitment relationship managerAllegis Group has assigned Dhrupad Thakkar to serve as recruitment relationship manager (talent acquisition) at S&P Global. He has over 9 years of experience in IT recruitment.  His last appointment was with Hays, he was assigned to work as senior recruiter for banking technology at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His appointment came into effect in September. He is based in Singapore.

LinkedIn strengthens relationship management teamRicky Cheung joined LinkedIn as relationship manager in September.  He is responsible for helping companies to transform the way they do direct sourcing and employer branding with LinkedIn talent solutions. Cheung's last appointment was consultant, talent and rewards at Willis Towers Watson.   He is based in Hong Kong.

With effect in September, Melissa Kiew was appointed associate relationship manager at LinkedIn.  She will be covering the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, helping small to medium businesses attract talent establish their employer branding. She came over from Argyll Scott where she was the senior executive- human resources, and has over 5 years of sales experience in the recruitment industry.  She is based in Singapore.

Linda Wong joins Hughes-CastellWong was appointed managing director and head of Singapore/ASEAN and South Asia at Hughes-Castell in May. She will lead the company's legal, compliance and human resources recruitment platforms and take charge of business development initiatives in the regions. Prior to joining Hughes-Castell, Wong was in legal leadership roles with for two global multinationals for 23 years. She is based in Singapore.
