HR practitioner appointments

Eugene Lam joins Danaher Corporation in senior HR capacityMedical devices firm, Danaher Corporatation, has appointed Eugene Lam, previously Regional HR Director at Kimberly-Clark, to the role of Senior Director HR, Asia Pacific at Danaher DentalCo Platform. He comes to the role with more than 18 years of experience in HR, having held both geographic and business partner HR leadership roles, and continues to be based in Singapore.

PETRONAS calls on Akmal Niza Ahmad to take on senior roleOil & energy giant PETRONAS has moved Akmal Niza Ahmad to the role of Head HRM, LNG Assets Upstream Business, where she is the HR business partner. She has been with the organisation since 2001, and was most recently, Head, Compensation & Benefits before being promoted. She continues to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Wanderlust + Co engages Muslim Nazari as People ManagerAfter recruiting at ServiceRocket for their Atlassian account, Muslim Nazari has decided to move back into people management at Wanderlust + Co, as People Manager. In this role, he is focusing on his ability to enable and empower people in workplaces to bridge business growth and people growth. "Blessed that I am able to further this adventure with Jenn & Leon being strong supporters," he shared with Human Resources.

Mark Leong joins Munich Re (Group) in regional talent lead roleInsurance firm Munich Re (Group) has welcomed Mark Leong, previously Head – Leadership Academy APAC at UBS, as Regional Talent Lead for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa. He continues to be based in Singapore. In this role, Leong’s immediate priorities will be to get to know his clients and stakeholders in the region and Munich, as well as to strengthen the organisation’s management and leadership framework.

Speaking to Human Resources, he added: “Further priorities will also be to integrate our key talent offerings regionally and globally with our talent review framework, work to build competencies through our Digital School as well as support business specific requests in the region.”

Sulaxmi Prasad takes up HR role with nutrition company, HerbalifeHerbalife has secured Sulaxmi Prasad for the post of Director, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS - APAC & China. Based in Kuala Lumpur, she was previously with Digi Telecommunications as Head - Talent and Rewards, and also brings past experience from Willis Towers Watson, Agoda, Mercerm and more. She brings deep experience in global compensation, benefits, performance and mobility, and talent management to her new role.

Rashid Jalil identifies new role with Malaysia AirportsHaving been with SME Bank Malaysia previously as Head, Human Capital Development in his most recent role, Rashid Jalil is now looking after Organisation Development and Manpower Planning at airport operator, Malaysia Airports. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

HR solutions provider appointments

International SOS welcomes Joyce WongJoyce Wong has been appointed as Regional HR Director for Asia Pacific at International SOS, a medical and travel security risk services company with more than 1,000 locations in 90 countries. She continues to be based out from Kuala Lumpur, and moves from Schlumberger where she was the Geomarket HR Manager covering Southeast Asia and South Asia.

Brindha Bal appointed as Partner at Eric Salmon & Partners Brindha Bal, formerly Global Head Talent Acquisition at Dyson, is now Partner at executive search and consulting firm Eric Salmon & Partners. Her previous roles include leading talent acquisition across APAC at HP, Sun Microsystems, and as Global Talent Acquisition Leader at Hitachi Data Systems, where she was based in Silicon Valley for four years. She is now based back in Singapore

Describing her new role to Human Resources, she said: “I am focused on building out the technology practice across APAC and the government focus in Singapore.”

Tamara Sigerhall dives into expanded role at Korn FerryHaving been with consulting firm Korn Ferry since 2017 as Managing Consultant, Professional Search, Tamara Sigerhall has moved up the ranks to Market Leader, ASEAN. In this role, her immediate priority is to build the HR practice out across the ASEAN region. She told Human Resources: "The priority will be to support clients as they move to leaner, more strategic HR functions in identifying best in class HR talent with real depth of understanding of the region."

Sigerhall's expertise is in identifying high performing professionals and defining tailored solutions that make a lasting, positive impact on organisations. Prior to her career in search, she was a corporate lawyer with Linklaters in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
