HR practitioner appointments

Maybank promotes Mei Lynn ChanIn her new role as EVP & head, human capital strategy, performance & planning, she will oversee both short & long term human capital strategy & initiatives for the bank. Chan had been with the bank since 2010, she was promoted from the position of EVP and head group organisation development and human capital group technology.  She is based in Malaysia.

Brian Muma rejoins GenentechAfter three years with Roche,  Muma returned to Genetech as vice president, human resources.  He was with Genentech for more than 10 years and before he left Roche to be their vice president, human resources Roche China Pharma.  He spent three years in Shanghai and will return to the United States in his new role.

Publicis Media appoints new HR directorKelvin W took up the role as associate director, human resources in May.  He came over from ZenithOptimedia Group, where he was the senior HR manager.  He is based in China.

Y3 Technologies promotes Marc Dragon to CEOMarc Dragon was promoted to the role with effect starting in July.  In his role, Dragon will be responsible for driving business growth, enhancing the company's solution portfolio and strategies, as well as driving operational excellence.

He has over 18 years of experience serving clients in Asia Pacific, and has been in multiple leadership roles, his previous position was deputy CEO of Y3 in Shanghai.  He will be based in Singapore for his new position.

Singapore Institute of Technology enhanced HR teamPearl Yeo joined the institute as L&D/HR executive in May.  She came over from Mondelēz International where she served as regional learning & development coordinator.  Her HR experience include HR generalist  and in L&D roles in the hospitality, financial services, FMCG & education industry.  She is based in Singapore.

Telus hires senior workforce managerJen Riazon was appointed the role with effect in May.  She came over form IBM where she was the workforce manager.  She is based in the Philippines

Swatch Group expands hiring teamThe group hired Rosana Yau as talent acquisition manager in May.  She brings with her more than four years in recruitment.  She came over from Neo Derm Group Ltd. where she was the assistant manager, HR.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Nestlé Nespresso strengthens HR team The company hired Zhi Ying Yeo as regional HR business partner with effect in July.  Zhi is a 10 year veteran in HR, her previous appointment was associate HR Manager at Menarini Asia-Pacific.  She is based in Singapore.

ANZ promotes engagement manager Rashmi (Varma) Patel moved up to the role in May after serving for two years as the bank's business learning manager - group learning.  She has been with ANZ since 2014, she is based in Singapore.

Bursa Malaysia hires new HR manager Asrul Hafiy was appointed the role of senior manager human resources in July.  He brings with him more than 8 years of experience in human resource, specializing in people strategy and business partner. He is based in Malaysia.

ENGIE Services Singapore expands training teamCorin Tan joined the company as a training executive in May.  She was previously a learning & development executive at Frasers Centrepoint Ltd.  Tan has been working in the HR sector since 2008, she is based in Singapore.

The Marketing Store welcomes new learning and development managerPistol Wong was appointed the role in June.  She had been specialising in a L & D since 2007, her previous position was training manager- group people development & engagement team at Jebsen Group.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Serey Chea joins the committee of Alliance for Financial InclusionAdding on to her impressive resume with social service the director general at National Bank of Cambodia was appointed member of high level committee for gender and women financial inclusion by the alliance in July.  She is based in Cambodia.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts welcome new HR manager Brian Chin was appointed the role in June after almost two years at  AVANI Hotels & Resorts serving as its human resources manager.  Chin had been serving in HR with specialisation in hospitality sector since 2009.  He is based in Malaysia.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Siddharth Suhas to head Hudson Hong Kong Suhas was promoted in July to regional director Hong Kong and Southern China with effect in July.  He had been with Hudson since 2014, having served in both Singapore and Hong Kong.

"I look to continue to grow Hudson's business in the region by providing high quality service  to clients & candidates," he told Human Resources.  He is based in Hong Kong.

Envision Human Capital Advisory Services appoints lead principal (Hong Kong)Angel Lam picked up the role in July, her focus will be on expanding the company's business across the Greater China region.  Lam brings with her over 15 years of executive search experience.  Her last appointment was partner at Derwent Executive.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Adobe appoints managing director for Southeast AsiaV. R. Srivatsanas takes over the position from Stephen Hamill who has decided to leave the company, with effect starting in July.  In his new role,  Sri will lead Adobe’s growth across the region.  He will report to Paul Robson, president of Adobe Asia Pacific.

Sri most recently served as managing director, ASEAN at Autodesk.  He is based in Singapore.

Excelity Singapore welcomes business development VPSheryl Kiew was appointed the role in July.  She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in HR and payroll.  In her new, she looks to leverage her experience to formulate strategies and empower the sales team in becoming more successful and help them  achieve their  financial goals and attain their personal goals.

Her previous appointment was the team Lead, business development at Ascender HCM Asia.  She is based in Singapore..

AXA Malaysia welcomes new HR headNorfazidah Abu Bakar is appointed  head of human resources for AXA Affin Life Insurance Malaysia with effect in July.   Her prior role was vice president, HR business partner & talent acquisition for AXA Affin General Insurance Malaysia.  She has been with AXA since 2012. She is based in Malaysia.

Korn Ferry Hay Group welcomes senior principalMohammad Iesa Morshidi was appointed the role in July.  in his new role he will focus on engaging leaders and organisations beyond the talent management scope, partnering with them to enable stellar business performance and help individuals, organizations and societies transform.

Morshidi came over from Willis Towers Watson, where he was the consulting leader, talent management.   He is based in Malaysia.

NGA Human Resources promotes regional directorWeng Fee Chin was promoted regional director, digital HR services - Asia Pacific & Japan in May.  He was promoted from HR consulting regional director, APJ.  In his new role, Weng will lead client accounts and regional sales teams to help organisations and clients digitise their HR.

He is based in Malaysia.

HeavenThea HR Consulting & Services promotes principal consultantRichelle Hogan promoted to the role in June.  He had been with the company since 2015 when he joined as the head of centre & principal.   Prior to HeavenThea, he was the country head of human resources, Singapore & Malaysia at Novartis.  He is based in Singapore.

PwC welcomes lead L & D consultant Elouise Chin was appointed lead consultant, learning & development in June.  She came over from OCBC Bank where she had served for more than 6 years.  Her last appointment was AVP learning & development.  She is based in Singapore.

EY Singapore welcomes new recruitment lead Aimee Young joined EY as its APAC FSO Recruitment Lead in July.  In her previous job, she was the regional recruitment manager - East Asia at British Council.  Young has served in the recruitment sector since 2005, she is based in Singapore.

EY Hong Kong strengthens recruitment team Amy Wong was appointed an experienced hire recruiter in July.  She is experienced with recruitment in Hong Kong across different functions and levels.  She came over from Robert Walters where she was a consultant  for the procurement & supply chain sector.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Allegis Global Solutions promotes team leader In her new role as operations services deputy team leader, Joanna Ilarose Samodio will support the team leader in the day to day operation of the team and assist with managing the team's performance.  She joined the company in early 2015.

She is based in the Philippines.

Irene Jeanette Chua is promoted by COMAT Training ServicesChua has been promoted by from her previous role as senior corporate account manager, learning and development to the role of center head, safety health environment quality and leadership professional development, effective July 2016.

She joins COMAT Training Services from  Eubiq where she was a business development and corporate communications manager of global business. She will remain based in Singapore.

Fitbit appoints head of talent acquisition, APACEric Wong took up the role in June,  He had been in the HR sector since 2003, his experience spans across the various human resource functions such as HR information systems, business partnering and talent management.

His previous appointment was head of talent acquisition, ASEAN Cluster at Johnson & Johnson.  Wong is based in Singapore.

KNOLSKAPE promotes SVP, capability solutionsRitish Reddy was promoted to the role in June from vice president, capability solutions.  He had been with the company since 2012 including stops at India and Singapore.  He is currently based in Singapore.

OCS Group UK expands recruitment teamMohana Latha Karapiah was hired as senior recruitment and T&D executive of the group in May.  She came over from SGS where she was a learning and development executive.  Karapiah  specialises in recruitment and training and development, she is based in Malaysia.

GMP strengthens hiring team Novita Tan joined the company as staffing consultant in July.  She brings with her more than 3 years of experience in recruiting & staffing.  Her recruitment experiences includes banking, IT, engineering, sales & marketing role. She is based in Singapore.

Talent Acquisition Solutions enhances recruitment team Apryl Policarpio was hired as a recruitment staff in June.  In her new role, she will be responsible for a series of duties including recruitment, sourcing, assessment, leads generation and client management.  She is based in the Philippines.
