Calling all HR heroes and caring companies!

We know it’s been a tough year. Coronavirus, COVID-19, the pandemic – call it what you will but it’s turned everyone’s year upside down in 2020.

The team at Human Resources Magazine believes that if we’ve made it this far, it’s definitely time for some good news. As this year of ultimate disruption enters the home straight, we’d love to hear what your HR team, employees or organisation has done to stare down the challenge and emerge triumphant.

In the next – and final – issue of Human Resources Magazine for 2020 we’re looking for good news stories and examples of the kindness of the human spirit.

HR Heroes
If you are or know a HR person (you can nominate one) or team that has achieved something outstanding with their HR team and/or employees let us know – we’d love to share your success with the rest of Hong Kong’s HR community.

It could be how you’ve helped distribute faces masks to frontline workers, pushed through some genuine digital innovation that has made working from home all that much better – and better connected – an experience, provided truly inspirational leadership that has protected the health and wellbeing of your charges during these worrying times, or in some other way help boost the morale and mindset of employees.

If you’ve achieved something special for the good of your people, we’d love to hear about it.

And help celebrate it by including it in our upcoming feature on HR Heroes in the next issue of the magazine.

For HR Heroes, email your story to: michaelt@humanresourcesonline.net

Caring Companies
Conversely, if you’re a local Hong Kong company or a corporation with a significant Hong Kong base and presence we’d also like to hear about your considerate deeds during 2020.

It could be anything your organisation’s done for the common good. It could be food distribution to those in need, disseminating wellness kits, handing out face masks to the general public (or your own workers), toys for children, installing community Covid-safe stations, provided a boost to citywide testing, or even distributing learning aids and tablets to stuck-at-home children unable to attend school.

You name it. As long as you’ve done something substantial and genuine in the area of corporate social responsibility – as part of a caring company – we’d love to hear about it.

And we don’t care what sector you come from. You could be in retail, banking, food delivery, info tech, medical supply distribution, hospitality or any other sector. As long as your organisation has done something selfless that is of great service to the community and the good people of Hong Kong over the past year, we want to share your story.

And help recognise your achievements with a spot in our Caring Companies focus in the next issue of Human Resources Magazine.

For Caring Company submissions, email your story to: michaelt@humanresourcesonline.net
Deadline for submissions: Friday 23 October
Word count: 800 words maximum
Please note: Only shortlisted stories will be published in our magazine.
